(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 5 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhu Chaobin Taken into Custody
2. [Dunhua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Jingping Secretly Sentenced to Prison
3. [Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Xia Released from Prison
4. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Hou Shuyuan and Ms. Liu Zaiyun Released from Prison

1. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhu Chaobin Taken into Custody

Ms. Zhu Chaobin, 76, from Nanquan Town, was arrested on June 4, 2024, after she was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was sentenced to one year by the Shifang City Court around September 2024. Although the court initially allowed her to serve time at home, a court staff member seized her from home on January 17, 2025, without telling her family where she would be detained or for how long.

2. [Dunhua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Jingping Secretly Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Liu Jingping from Dashitou Town was arrested on the afternoon of September 7, 2024. She was later secretly sentenced to prison and was admitted to the Yanji Women’s Prison. Her family hasn’t been allowed to visit her.

3. [Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Xia Released from Prison

Ms. Li Xia was released on January 24, 2025 after serving one and a half years in prison.

4. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Hou Shuyuan and Ms. Liu Zaiyun Released from Prison

Mr. Hou Shuyuan and Ms. Liu Zaiyun were arrested in January 2022 and both were sentenced to three years in prison in April 2024. Mr. Hou served time at the Jidong Prison and was released on January 11, 2025. Ms. Liu served time at the Hebei Province Women’s Prison and has been released as well.
