(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 6 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Mr. Xu Weidong of Wenjiang District was indicted by prosecutor Liu Xu from the Wenjiang District Procuratorate in November 2024. He is now facing trial in the Wenjiang District Court. He was arrested in November 2023 and has been held in the Chengdu Detention Center located in Yong’anxiang, Anjing Town, Pidu District.
Ms. Xu Yanfei of Chicheng County was arrested by officer Li Zhengqian and others from the Chicheng County Domestic Security Division on February 13, 2020. She was denied admission by the detention center due to her blood pressure, and was released on bail. The police submitted her case to the Xuanhua District Procuratorate in December 2024. The latter then forwarded her case to the Xuanhua District Court. Court staffers went to Ms. Xu’s home on February 8, 2025, and tried to get her signature on the case documents. She refused to sign.
Ms. Guan Cuiling was harassed at home on January 23, 2025. Three officers from the Chaoyang Police Station held her and took a blood sample by force.
Ms. Li Yan, in her 50s, from Zhucheng City, was arrested at her parents’ home by Zhucheng City Domestic Security Division officers on the morning of February 6, 2025. The officers ransacked the place. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.
Ms. Luo Suling and her sister Ms. Luo Suya are scheduled to stand trial at the Meixian District Court on February 25, 2025.
Ms. Luo Suya, 61, was arrested at home on July 30, 2024 and held in the Chengdong Lockup. Ms. Luo Suling was arrested on July 18, 2024 at a high-speed rail checkpoint by Huizhou Police Station officers. She is also held at a detention facility in Meizhou.
