(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Xingcheng City, Liaoning Province] Case Against Ms. Xia Ning Submitted to the Court
2. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yaming Admitted to the Prison

4. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Ying and Her Daughter Ms. Wang Jing Arrested

6. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Ms. Gong Dianmei’s Home Ransacked
7. [Baicheng City, Jilin Province] Ms. Du Mujing Harassed at Railway Station

1. [Xingcheng City, Liaoning Province] Case Against Ms. Xia Ning Submitted the Court

Ms. Xia Ning, 71, was arrested on November 5, 2024, for talking to people about Falun Gong and distributing calendars bearing information about Falun Gong. She was transferred to the Huludao City Detention Center after being detained 15 days at another facility. Her case was submitted to the Lianshan District Court in Huludao City on January 8, 2025. Judge Wang Yueqiu has been assigned to her case.

2. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yaming Admitted to Prison

Ms. Zhang Yaming was admitted to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on January 9, 2025 to serve a two-year term.

3. [Tianjin] Ms. Yang Fujing Admitted to Prison

Ms. Yang Fujing from Ninghe District was sentenced to two years in prison and has been transferred from the detention center to the Tianjin City Women’s Prison.

4. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Ying and Her Daughter Ms. Wang Jing Arrested

Ms. Liu Ying and her daughter Ms. Wang Jing from Farm 857, were arrested by local police on January 20, 2025. Despite that Ms. Liu was found to have dangerously high blood pressure, the police still took her and Ms. Wang to the Mishan City Lockup.

5. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Yang Anzhi Arrested

Mr. Yang Anzhi from Dongchuan District, 77, was arrested by officers from the Xincun Police Station when distributing informational materials about Falun Gong near the police station on the morning of January 17, 2025. Four officers ransacked his home and confiscated the photo of Falun Gong’s founder, Falun Gong books, pendants, and other personal belongings. He was released in the evening after being interrogated at the police station.

6. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Ms. Gong Dianmei’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Gong Dianmei’s home was ransacked on the morning of December 18, 2024, after the police deceived her into opening the door by pretending to be staffers from the heating company. Her 50 pamphlets with information materials about Falun Gong were confiscated.

This isn’t the first that Ms. Gong has been targeted for practicing Falun Gong. She was previously arrested by officers including Ma Qian in March 2012, after being recorded by the surveillance camera while putting up stickers with the words of “Falun Dafa is Good.” The police raided her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, the Minghui Weekly, and a computer. She was detained for 20 days.

7. [Baicheng City, Jilin Province] Ms. Du Mujing Harassed at Railway Station

Ms. Du Mujing took a train from Changchun City to Ulanhot City on January 15, 2025. Two officers from the Changchun Railway Police Station approached her just when she sat down in the train. They searched her bags and checked her ID.
