(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Cheng Guijun, Ms. Song Guifen, Ms. Zhang Wenping, Ms. Li Zhenying, Mr. Men Bingcheng, and Mr. Yu Yongli, all from Dongguang County, Cangzhou City, Hebei Province, were scheduled to appear in the Ningjin County Court in Shandong Province on April 18, 2025.
Mr. Li Zhengxun from Lijiazhuang Village, Nancun Town, Pingdu City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Qingdao City, was arrested on March 5, 2025. The arresting officers from the Yifengdian Police Station in Jimo District also ransacked his home. He is now held in the Qingdao City Fifth Detention Center. His arrest was approved on March 20. He is now facing indictment after the police submitted his case to the Jimo District Procuratorate on April 6.
Ms. Liu Shuling and Ms. Li Shuling were arrested by officers from the Guhe Police Station, formerly known as Niuxibu Town Police Station, on the morning of April 10, 2025, when they were talking to people about Falun Gong. The police raided their homes and ordered their family members to sign paperwork, which they refused. Both practitioners are being held in the Laixi City Detention Center.
Ms. Song Cuihong was arrested by officers from the Zunhua City Domestic Security Division while talking to people about Falun Gong at the Gedatuo farmers market in Xindianzi Town on the morning of April 9, 2025. She is being held in the Zunhua City Detention Center.
Ms. Chen Jinmei was arrested and her home ransacked by officers from the Jiezhuang Township Police Station in Jingxiu District on April 9, 2024. She was held in the Baoding City Detention Center for one year and released on April 8, 2025.
Ms. Wu Cuihua from Pulandian District was arrested. Officers from the Nanshan Police Station ransacked her home.
Three officers from the Jingtai Police Station in Baiyun District broke into Ms. Xu Jinhua’s home around 8 a.m. on January 21, 2025. They claimed that Ms. Xu was reported for distributing Falun Gong materials and showed her and her son two photos. The first photo featured a woman in green clothing walking along the street with a small grocery cart. The second photo showed a woman wearing black, with her head lowered, doing something. It was obvious to Ms. Xu that they were two different people and neither of them was her.
The police still took Ms. Xu to the police station and attempted to take photos of her. She refused to comply and was released after she was found to have high blood pressure. The police called Ms. Xu’s son in the afternoon and ordered him to sign her case document. When he refused to sign it, the police approached Ms. Xu and ordered her to sign a paper written with the words, “Due to insufficient evidence, we won’t hold you accountable.” She questioned the police that if that was the case, was it was still necessary for her to sign anything, or were they just trying different ways to get her signature. The police didn’t insist and left.
