(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lian Minqin Tried
2. [Mianchi County, Henan Province] Ms. Yang Qingyi and Ms. Ma Shufang Arrested
3. [Ning’an City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yao Cuiping Taken into Custody to Serve a Six-Month Term
4. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested
5. [Jingyu County, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Shumei’s Pension Suspended

1. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lian Minqin Tried

Ms. Lian Minqin, 70, a retired teacher, was tried by the Dongying District Court at 2:30 p.m. on April 17, 2025.

2. [Mianchi County, Henan Province] Ms. Yang Qingyi and Ms. Ma Shufang Arrested

Ms. Yang Qingyi and Ms. Ma Shufang were arrested by the local Domestic Security Division on April 1, 2025.

3. [Ning’an City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yao Cuiping Taken into Custody to Serve a Six-Month Term

Ms. Yao Cuiping was arrested in June 2023 for posting information online to expose the Chinese communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong. She was later sentenced to six months by the Hailin City Court, but the sentence wasn’t enforced back then. She was taken back into custody at the Chaihe Lockup on April 9, 2025, after passing the required physical examination.

4. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Seven Falun Gong practitioners were arrested at Zhou Aijie’s home on the afternoon of April 15, 2025, while studying Falun Gong teachings together. The police broke in and took the practitioners to the Wangyue Road Police Station for interrogation. All seven practitioners were released later that day.

5. [Jingyu County, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Shumei’s Pension Suspended

Ms. Chen Shumei’s pension has been suspended by the Jingyu County Social Security Bureau, starting from 2024.
