(Minghui.org) I used to suffer from many illnesses, including arthritis, postpartum depression, gynecological disease, and insomnia. However, after practicing Falun Dafa, I became healthy and energetic. I have felt the rotation of Falun (Law Wheel) from the beginning of my cultivation.
I’ve been distributing Dafa informational materials and clarifying the truth to people for over 20 years. I did it on my way to and from work, and wherever I went. I spoke to people from all walks of life.
Master Li wants us to cultivate selfless compassion and put others before ourselves. We need to put the salvation of people as our priority. Whenever I read Minghui reports on a local practitioner being arrested, I rushed to the police station as soon as possible to demand their release. When I validate the Fa, do things for others, and conform to the Fa’s standards, I can feel Falun spinning rapidly. I know this is Master’s encouragement. Since I’m a Falun Dafa practitioner, I am just doing what I should do.
Since 2004, distributing Dafa materials and clarifying the truth have become part of my life.
I once met a group of people and wanted to tell them about Dafa, but there was a police booth about four meters away. I was a little worried. Should I still go over? I remembered what Master said:
“The old forces don’t dare to oppose our clarifying the truth or saving sentient beings. What’s key is to not let them take advantage of the gaps in your state of mind when you do things.” (“Fa teaching given at the 2002 Conference in Boston, USA,” Collected Teachings Given Around the World, Vol. II)
I thought that since saving people was our top priority, the old forces would not dare to interfere. I must help Master save these people. So I sent forth righteous thoughts to disintegrate the evil in other dimensions, then walked over, handed information to each of them, helped them quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations, and left safely.
Another time, I met a young man in his 20s. I wondered, “Should I tell him about Falun Dafa? What if ...” When I saw this negative thought start to emerge, I negated it immediately. All sentient beings are Master’s relatives, and every life is precious.
When I told him the facts about Dafa, I didn’t expect he would be so receptive. He said he was a college student who came to work on a project temporarily. I had only six Dafa pamphlets left, and he took them all. I told him I could bring him more the next day.
I went back to our meeting place the following day and stayed around for a long time, but didn’t see him. On the third day, I went there again and saw him at an intersection. He said to me excitedly, “I was almost taken away by the police!” I asked him what happened.
He said that he was distributing Falun Dafa pamphlets to people on the street two days prior, when a police car drove up. The officer asked what he was doing. People started to gather around. Seeing that things were going to get bad, he took the first opportunity he could and ran away.
I said, “Master was protecting you because you were doing the right thing.” I then gave him a Dafa amulet and a USB flash drive with more information. He was as joyful as a child.
I was waiting for a flight at the airport. Seeing passengers and sentient beings waiting in the terminal, I wanted to tell them the truth, so I started a conversation with a passenger who was about 60 years old. She was buying something at the time. I went over and asked, “How much is this?” The clerk told us the price, and that there was a discount if we bought more. I said to the passenger, “Why don’t you buy three for 100 yuan. I’ll buy two from you. This will be a bargain.”
I then naturally told her about Dafa. She saw that I was in good spirits, and she was willing to listen to me. I said, “Why is Falun Dafa good? Let me tell you the answer. I recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ every day, and benefit from it. You’re younger than me, and you should recite it too.
“Why is it good to recite it? The CCP is fighting against heaven and earth and making trouble for people all the time. Isn’t this harming society? If we are as kind and harmonious as we are now, it will be consistent with the principles of heaven. The gods will then take care of us.
“Are you a Party member? Or did you join any of their youth organizations? If you quit them, gods and Buddhas will take care of you.” I gave her some examples of how people received blessings by reciting “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” She readily agreed to quit the CCP and its youth organizations. She was reluctant to leave, and said, “Don’t go anywhere else when you come next time, just stay in my house!”
I was busy with my business and neglected Fa study in July 2023. The old forces took advantage of my competitive spirit, and I was arrested when I was on the street clarifying the truth. The officer rummaged through my bag, and said, “Look, you have so many things and a lot of Dafa materials. It’s enough to sentence you to prison.”
I thought to myself, “Master decides everything. What you say doesn’t count. No matter what situation I find myself in, I will validate the Fa.” I replied, “I’m a good person who saves people. There’s ancient saying that one will accumulate great merit just by giving a monk some food. You should think about yourself and your family.” When the police later recorded statements, this police officer cut the amount of materials he found by half.
According to procedures, the police needed to search my home. I told them I had conditions. They asked what they were. I said, “First, you are not to wear police uniforms. Second, you can only drive there in a normal vehicle and not a police car. You don’t want to alarm people.” I believed that as long as Dafa practitioners have a righteous heart, everything they say will be as pure as lotus flowers.
The director of the police station said, “I can meet your conditions.” He asked a young officer in her 20s to put on regular clothes and go with me. As we walked, I told her about Dafa and helped her quit the CCP.
At my house, she reminded me to remove some books while she was taking pictures. If the books were shown in the photos, they would have to be confiscated and used as evidence against me. There were a lot of them in my home. This young woman had righteous thoughts and helped protect my Dafa books.
I was taken to the detention center, where I was told to undergo a physical examination. I said to a police officer there, “Young man, I just heard you talking politely to a child on the phone. Being a police officer means you’re nice to everyone you meet. You made me feel a certain closeness.” He was curious. I said, “I teach in an elementary school. I love children and treat everyone I meet as my own child.
“It’s raining so hard today. This is to remind you that heaven will react if you persecute good people. I have to tell you the truth. I know that although you are doing your job, you don’t want to harm me. But now that things have come to this stage, you have to quit the CCP and its affiliates to resolve your sins.
“When you were in school, you swore to fight for the CCP all your life and give your life to the Party. Think about the corruption of Communist Party officials these days. Do you dare to acknowledge the truth? Look at how many billions of yuan Chinese officials have embezzled. They embezzle because their hearts have become dirty! Would they do it if they really cared about people? We need to wake up. Only by quitting the CCP can you keep your family safe.”
The officer kept saying, “I’ll listen to you. I’ll listen to you.” The police left the handcuffs to be used on me in the car. After completing the physical examination, I reminded them of the handcuffs.
The inmates in the detention center were assigned to guard duty, but nobody wanted to do it, so I volunteered. I stood there and did the Falun Standing Stance for two or three hours at a time. The guards watching through the camera were amazed at how I could stand there for such a long time without moving an inch.
They later transferred me to another cell, where many young foreigners were held, including Vietnamese and Indians. I wanted to tell them about Dafa, but I didn’t speak any other languages. All I could do was send forth righteous thoughts. As a result, the television stopped working and the CCP’s propaganda programs could not be broadcast. I was released from the detention center a few days later.
I study the Fa every day after work and send forth righteous thoughts every hour I’m awake. I also send extra righteous thoughts whenever I have time. When clarifying the truth, I try my best not to miss any people.
Fellow practitioners asked me if I had any safety concerns when I went out to clarify the truth. I felt that I had nothing to worry about. Master said we should cultivate the righteous understanding of putting others first. As long as we cultivate ourselves well and meet Dafa’s requirements at different levels, the results will definitely be the best.
