WHEREAS: Falun Dafa practitioners will celebrate the 33rd annual World Falun Dafa Day on May 13, 2025, with festivals and events held across the United States and worldwide.

WHEREAS: Falun Dafa is an advanced exercise and meditation practice of body, mind, and spirit based on the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance.

WHEREAS: Men and women in the United States are learning Falun Dafa, purifying their hearts, energizing their bodies, and striving to create virtuous communities.

WHEREAS: Falun Dafa’s contribution to society has been widely recognized and honored around the world since Mr. Li Hongzhi introduced it to the public in 1992.

WHEREAS: Falun Dafa transcends cultural and racial boundaries and contributes to the universal dream of a peaceful, tolerant, and compassionate society.

WHEREAS: Falun Dafa practitioners’ determination and courage to stand up for truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance while facing severe persecution from the Chinese Communist Party has shown the world the value of life and human dignity.

PROCLAIMED: By the Senate of the One Hundred and Fourth General Assembly of the State of Illinois, that we honor Falun Dafa Day and the practice's contributions to society through meditation and we celebrate the 33-year anniversary of World Falun Dafa Day.

PROCLAIMED: That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented for Falun Dafa Day as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
