(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Two Practitioners Detained

A practitioner surnamed Zheng and another practitioner whose first name is Xiaowen were arrested by the police in Weidong District on April 29, 2025. They have been detained since.

2. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Deng Yanhui Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Deng Yanhui was sentenced to one year in prison on April 29, 2025. Her family was not notified of the trial. The judge said if her family payed 3,000 yuan, he could reduce her sentence by two months. It’s not clear whether she and her family have complied.

3. [Yuncheng County, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Minghui.org reported in March 2025 that seven practitioners in Yuncheng and Juancheng County were sentenced to prison after being arrested around July 2024. We recently obtained more information about four practitioners’ prison terms.

Mr. Yang Liangxiu, 81, was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan.

Mr. Li Yichun, 59, was sentenced to three years and six months. He was admitted to the Jinan Prison in January 2025.

Mr. Zhang Mingjie, 85, was sentenced to several months in prison and was also fined several thousand yuan.

Mr. Tao Huazhong, 82, was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Xiufang Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wang Xiufang, from the Economic Development Zone, was arrested on April 19, 2024 and later sentenced to two years and six months in prison. Her family has not been allowed to visit her.
