Anna Skibinsky participated in the World Falun Dafa Day celebrations.
Anna Skibinsky began to practice Falun Dafa in 1997 when she was pursuing her PhD in chemistry at Boston University.
She said she loves doing the exercises with other practitioners and celebrating World Falun Dafa Day and Master’s birthday. “I thank Master for teaching Falun Dafa, a form of cultivation. When a person follows the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, their whole life improves. I live by these principles,” she said.
“My life happy, my mind is clear thanks to following such high moral principles.” she said, “I cherish even more the people I know and treat them with kindness and compassion.”
She said that, although she’s practiced cultivation for many years, she still runs into challenges: “Whenever I’m faced with a challenge, it’s an opportunity to improve. A nonpractitioner would feel dejected when hit by a setback, and their health would be affected. But as a practitioner, these challenges and setbacks are opportunities to understand the true meaning of life.”
Daniel Dabek, a well known software engineer who started his own company, was impressed when he saw practitioners doing the exercises.
Daniel Dabek said, “Falun Dafa is important for everyone, for one’s soul and spirit. Everyone should practice Falun Dafa and study the teachings, because the world needs to heal. Now is the time.
“People should understand cultivation, which is extraordinary. We come from one Creator. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is the criterion for communication between people; we should connect with one another through these principles.
“I hope people in China will wake up, understand what is important: the meaning of life. I hope Indians, Africans, Americans, and South Americans search for Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and follow these principles.
“I know what is good and what is bad, and I know Falun Dafa is amazing!”
He said he was aware of the persecution in China and about forced organ harvesting, “That is a brutal act, when a totally peaceful practice is persecuted by a completely violent political power. It is obvious, more people will practice Falun Dafa. People will gain freedom, light will prevail over darkness, and things like organ harvesting will no longer exist. There will only be peace and joy then.”
Darren Stallcup, a social media blogger, said that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is very important.
Darren Stallup said, “I’m delighted to see people stand up for justice. World Falun Dafa Day is extremely important, and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is very important. These principles are necessary in any community. If there is no truth, there will be violence.”
Maria from Mexico said Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is “exactly what we need right now.”
Maria said, “People should treat one another with kindness. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is exactly what we need right now—today’s world needs these principles.”
It was the first time that Maria had heard of Falun Dafa. She said, “In Mexico, sometimes people are assaulted. If people followed these principles, it would wonderful.”
Henrette from Denmark said she supports Falun Dafa.
Henrette said, “I know about Falun Dafa, and I support you. We need freedom, freedom of speech. I support Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Who wouldn’t support these principles?”
Melanie Berter from Germany said, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great and is crucial to humanity. Many bad things are happening in the world now. People should have Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in their thoughts. They should be free to choose their belief.”
Kyler from Los Angeles said people should follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Kyler said, “We should follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. This is most fundamental. People should be kind to one another. It’s wrong to suppress belief—people should have freedom of belief.”
Letitia, who works as a buyer in San Francisco, said Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are principles one should follow in daily life.
“This parade is amazing. Spectacular. I did not expect to see a parade,” said Letitia. “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are principles one should follow. We should remind ourselves to follow these principles every day. More people should follow them and act in accordance with them.”

After he was told that practitioners were celebrating the 33rd anniversary of the public introduction of Falun Dafa, he said, “It’s beautiful. Congratulations! I think Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is especially important.”
At the Ferry Terminal building, Kaylia Adams saw practitioners doing the exercises for the first time and asked what they were doing. She said, “Falun Dafa is great. We absolutely need something like this. I’m glad you are doing the exercises outdoors. That way, people who are interested can learn them.”
She said that takes care of children and that, “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are excellent values. Children can learn them. They can grow up following these principles. When I have my own kids, I will teach them to follow these values.”
