(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jin Xiaofeng and Ms. Zhao Guiping’s Appeal Cases Accepted by the Intermediate Court
2. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested
3. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tai Yuyan Arrested
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Yufen Arrested
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Xianghong Detained
7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Ren Haibo Arrested
8. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] 76-Year-Old Mr. Wang Junheng Arrested

1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jin Xiaofeng and Ms. Zhao Guiping’s Appeal Cases Accepted by the Intermediate Court

Ms. Jin Xiaofeng and Ms. Zhao Guiping were sentenced to three and five years, respectively, by the Dadong District Court on March 31, 2025. Their appeal cases were accepted by the Shenyang City Intermediate Court on April 21.

2. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Seven practitioners from Huaibin County, including Ms. Wang Haixia, Ms. Zhang Yuqin, Mr. He Ziqing, Ms. Sun Shufang, Ms. Dai Xueqin, Ms. Ren Xulan, and Ms. Xu Lifang, were arrested at Ms. Ren’s daughter’s home and taken to the police station on the afternoon of April 24, 2025. Ms. Ren’s Falun Gong books, copies of Minghui Weekly, and computers were confiscated. Mr. He’s computer was also taken from his home.

Ms. Ren’s daughter and son-in-law, neither of whom practice Falun Gong, were also taken to the police station for interrogation.

The eighth practitioner, Mr. Jia Huailou, was arrested on the same day or the day before while working at a kindergarten.

Ms. Xu has been released. The status of the other practitioners isn’t clear.

3. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tai Yuyan Arrested

Ms. Tai Yuyan from Bajianfang Village was arrested at Niuheliang High-speed Railway Station on April 24, 2025, after security personnel found Falun Gong materials in her luggage. The police ransacked her home and confiscated many of her personal belongings. Ms. Tai had a medical episode during the raid and could not stand up on her own. She was taken to the hospital. Her current status isn’t clear.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Practitioners Liu Liu and Zhang, who were working odd jobs in Helong Town, were arrested on April 23, 2025, by officers from Helong Town Police Station. Liu was taken to a detention facility in Nong’an City. The whereabouts of Zhang are unknown.

5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Yufen Arrested

Ms. Zhou Yufen was arrested at home on the afternoon of April 23, 2025, by two plainclothes officers. Her whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Xianghong Detained

Ms. Sun Xianghong was reported to the police on April 22, 2025, for talking to people about Falun Gong. And she was arrested by officers from Chunliu Street Police Station at a bus stop. She was detained for five days and released.

7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Ren Haibo Arrested

Practitioner Ren Haibo from Lalin Town, Wuchang City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Harbin City, was arrested by two officers at home. They ransacked Ren’s home. Ren’s whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] 76-Year-Old Mr. Wang Junheng Arrested

Mr. Wang Junheng, 76, from the Muping District was reported to the police on April 7, 2025, for talking to people about Falun Gong. He was arrested by Wenhua Road Police Station officers. He was held in the Muping District Detention Center. His case has been submitted to the Muping District Procuratorate.
