(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Kou Juying was sentenced to 5.5 years and fined 20,000 yuan on December 31. She was taken to Shaanxi Province Women’s Prison on February 14, 2025.
Ms. Liu Yongying was scheduled to appear at the Xihu District Court on the morning of June 17, 2025.
Ms. Chen Weihong, in her 50s, was arrested at home on the morning of June 10, 2025, by officers from the Jiuzhou Police Station. Her home was ransacked.
Mr. Xing Jiaqiu and his wife Ms. Zhang Xiuying were arrested at home on June 9, 2025. They are currently held in Huludao City Administrative Lockup for 15 days.
Mr. Liu Yan, from Gangtun Town, happened to visit the couple during the arrest. The police also arrested him and gave him 15 days of administrative detention.
Practitioner Zhou Zhongyan, who lives in the Liyuan Residential Community in Kuiwen District, was arrested on June 10, 2025, while distributing brochures with facts about Falun Gong on the street.
Five practitioners from Suiling County, including Jiang Ming, Wang Yu, Xiu Zhongchen, Li Zhongyuan, and Zhao (first name unknown), had been monitored and followed by the police from Suihua City and Hailun City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Suihua City. They were arrested on the morning of May 10, 2025. Only Zhao has been released, due to medical reasons.
Mr. Han Xu was harassed at his temporary residence in Baiyin City, Gansu Province on June 11, 2025, by officer Guo Wen from Gongxingdun Police Station, director Liu of Gongxingdun Community, Li and director Yao of the community office.
They ordered Mr. Han to sign a statement, promising to stay in Baiyin and not return to his home in Lanzhou. Mr. Han refused to comply.
Ms. Liu Yurong was arrested in April 2024 and sentenced to 4.5 years. She was admitted to the Liaoning Province Second Women’s Prison on June 4, 2025. She is currently held at the 2nd Division, the division for newly admitted inmates. The prison denied her family from visiting her. The prison called Ms. Liu’s family on June 9, 2025 and said that she was experiencing high blood pressure.
