(Minghui.org) Practitioners held an information day at the old synagogue square in front of the University of Freiburg on July 12, 2025. They introduced Falun Dafa and told people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. Freiburg im Breisgau, located in southwest Germany, is the gateway to the Black Forest. It is blessed with natural beauty and attracts tourists from all over the world all year round.

Many people passed by the booth and stopped to talk with practitioners to learn about Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong). Some local residents greeted practitioners and said, "We know the truth and signed the petition calling to end the persecution. What else can we do to help stop it?" Practitioners asked them to tell their friends and family about the persecution.

Local People Learn About Falun Gong

A young German man kept walking back and forth in front of the display boards and posters. A practitioner asked him if he knew about Falun Gong. He said that he had taken Chinese history and literature courses in college and had gone to China. He had great respect for ancient Chinese civilization. However, China is a bad place now. People have no freedom of thought or personal freedom. He could not understand and was deeply saddened. Many people have been killed because of the CCP’s policies.

The practitioner told him that more than 80 million Chinese had died due to the CCP’s various campaigns since it seized power. It massacred students on June 4, 1989, suppressed Falun Gong in 1999, staged the Tiananmen self-immolation incident to frame Falun Gong, and conducts forced organ harvesting for profit.

He looked solemn and said that he understood the photos and illustrations on the display boards and posters. He took a booklet and said he would read it and pay attention to the persecution of Falun Gong.

Chinese Students Quit the CCP

Two Chinese students talked with practitioners, and one of them asked a Chinese practitioner why he left China. Before the practitioner spoke, the other person said, “Because there is no freedom of speech and freedom of belief in China, you are threatened and suppressed by the Chinese Communist Party. They do not allow you to believe in Falun Gong. Am I right?”

The practitioner said, “Yes, it is precisely because I was persecuted in China and my life was constantly in danger. So I came overseas. I love China, but not the CCP. The CCP and China are completely different.

“I stand on the street in the center of a German city to clarify the truth. I especially want to tell Chinese people not to reject the truth, not to listen to the CCP’s lies about Falun Gong, not to be brainwashed, and not to be misled by the lies. By stopping and listening to my explanation, it shows that you think independently and are able to differentiate good from evil.”

A student asked how the practitioner made a life in Germany. The practitioner said he has a doctorate degree and conducts research work in a university.

The student asked, “You haven’t been able to go back to China for so many years, so do you miss home?” The practitioner said, “It’s true that I haven’t been back for many years. But who caused this? The inhumane CCP. If we go back, we will face the following: either give up our faith or go to jail.”

Another student said, “I know, it’s because so many people believe in Falun Gong that they suppress you. You’ve said a lot, and I don’t disagree. What effect can your effort have? How significant is it?”

The practitioner said, “Our purpose in clarifying the truth is very clear, which is to expose the CCP’s lies that undermine Falun Gong. We hope that everyone will understand the truth about Falun Gong and not help the evil. Good will be rewarded and evil punished. There are countless examples in history that show that anyone who undermines righteous faith and persecutes practitioners is punished.”

The two students listened quietly.

The practitioner continued, “Another purpose of our truth clarification is to help you quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations for a safe future. The CCP has done so many evil things, including the large-scale live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners. Such an evil Party will surely be disintegrated. When it collapses, anyone who has joined the Party and its organizations will be implicated. Please quit the CCP to avoid a bad future.”

Both students agreed to quit. They said they hope one day Falun Gong practitioners can return to China with dignity and enjoy freedom of belief. They also wished the practitioners a good life every day outside China and they were grateful for telling them the truth.
