(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 32 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Over 20 practitioners and their family members were arrested early in the morning on July 20, 2025. The police were waiting outside their homes and broke in as soon as someone came out.
Ms. Di Lianxia, 55, was sentenced to six years in January 2024. She developed tuberculosis in Jilin Province Women’s Prison and has been quarantined. She is so weak that she has difficulty walking.
Mr. Han Wei and his brother from Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province were both arrested by police from Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, in March 2024, for sending information about Falun Gong on WeChat. While they were released on bail in April 2024, the police renewed Mr. Han Wei’s bail condition when it expired in April 2025.
Mr. Han Wei was indicted by the Chongchuan District Procuratorate in Nantong in mid-July 2025. He is scheduled to appear in the Chongchuan District Court on August 6, 2025.
Ms. Sun Xiuxia from the Lianchi District was arrested by officers from the Bailou Police Station on July 18, 2025. Her home was ransacked. She was given 12 days at the Baoding City Lockup.
Mr. Xu Chunxue, 75, was sentenced to three years and six months in prison on April 25, 2025. He appealed with the Benxi City Intermediate Court, but judges Xiong Tiening and Liu Liang ruled to uphold his original verdict on June 19, 2025.
Several practitioners were reading a Falun Gong book at Liu Fengchen’s home on May 13, 2025, when officers from the Beizhakou Town Police Station broke in. Liu and another practitioner were taken away. While the other practitioner was released later that day, Liu was detained for 10 days in the Jinnan District Police Department.
Mr. Zhang Zhihe was arrested in Donghu Park around May 26, 2025. His home was ransacked.
Four practitioners and their families were harassed between mid-June and early July 2025.
Ms. Ji, in her 80s, was harassed on June 11, 2025, and had photos of her taken against her will.
Ms. Wang Shuhua, in her 90s, was harassed at home by local community staff members on June 25, 2025. She moved into a senior apartment to avoid the harassment. Prior to that, Ms. Zhou Chunying and Ms. Shen Chunmei, both in their 80s, were forced to move to the senior apartments to avoid the repeated harassment.
Two other practitioners, Jiang and Wang Kuaiji, 84 and blind, were also harassed.
Ms. Zhang Ximei was sentenced to three and a half years in prison by the Gaoyang County Court. She has been admitted to the Hebei Province Women’s Prison in the capital of Shijiazhuang.
