(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners from Germany and Switzerland held fifteen events from February to July 2025 in Konstanz. This was the first time many residents and tourists have heard about Falun Dafa, and they learned that it teaches people to become good by following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Falun Dafa has been given more than 10,000 awards and letters of support from dignitaries and countries. Many people asked why the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes such a wonderful practice.

Through talking with Falun Dafa practitioners and reading truth clarification materials about the persecution, people understood that after Falun Dafa was introduced in China in 1992, more than 100 million people practiced and benefited greatly both physically and mentally in just seven years. The CCP authorities noticed this and carried out investigations. The outcomes showed that practicing Falun Dafa is beneficial to society and not harmful. The CCP noticed that many people practiced, and felt if so many people can abide by Falun Dafa’s standards of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance to differentiate between good and bad, they would no longer be able to control them. In July 1999, the CCP mobilized its state-run media and all government branches to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. This persecution has gone on for 26 years.

Many people talked with practitioners at their booths near the ferry terminal in Konstanz and Marktstätte Square in the city center. They signed petitions to request their governments to take action and end the CCP’s persecution and forced organ harvesting. Two of the petitions will be submitted to the German Federal Government and the Swiss Federal Council, and one will be submitted to the G7 + 7 countries. (The G7 consists of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States while +7 consists of Argentina, Australia, India, Israel, Mexico, South Korea and Taiwan.)

Falun Dafa practitioners held fifteen information day events from February to July 2025. Residents and tourists signed the petitions to show their support.

Many people expressed their support for justice. Some comments included, “They [Falun Dafa practitioners] are being persecuted in China. I sign these petitions hoping that they can receive just treatment. The evil forces can no longer be so rampant.” “In order to stop [the CCP] from committing these crimes, we should do something. This is very important. I hope to change the situation.

“We sign the petition in the hopes of helping end the persecution...” Another person said, “This is our wish, a symbol. Even though it is not much, it is at least a start. Without drops of water, how can there be a river?” Another said, “I signed the petition because I believe shadows cannot block the sun, justice will prevail and kindness will ultimately triumph.”

“Communism Is Like Cancer”

Programmer Vinko said that he came from a country that was once ruled by communists. Many of his family members were persecuted by the communists due to their beliefs. He read many books about communism and has a certain level of understanding about it. He said, “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance are principles that everyone will be happy to follow and practice in their daily lives. However, the CCP treats it as an alien and this is what the communists inevitably do. So, this persecution is not surprising.” He added, “Throughout communism’s history they have been very cruel to people.

“I feel that communism in this world is like a cancer. Because the writings of Marx and Engels contain a lot of hatred, hatred of humanity, and a desire to destroy all people who do not follow communism. The Communist Party has destroyed a lot of beauty behind the scenes.

“Socialism and communism are not good for people. Many people mistakenly believe that communism is good, but this is only a false impression before the extremes appear. When the extremes appear, people have already been trained to accept it. Just like the persecution of faith in China, Falun Dafa and Christianity are being persecuted. Is this something that human beings can do? They even have their organs harvested while they are still alive. It is inhumane!

“People should not join communism or socialism.” Vinko is very clear about that. After signing the petition, he said he hopes that more Chinese people will wake up, just like the more than 450 million Chinese who have withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. He plans to publicize the ongoing CCP persecution of Falun Gong, “I will tell as many people as possible about the CCP’s current persecution.”

Political Scholar Hopes the Government Takes Action to Stop the CCP’s Persecution

When political scholar Seyhan heard that the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Falun Gong Protection Act, she said, “Very good, this is great. If it can become a law, that would be fantastic.” She said she knew a little about Falun Dafa, “Because in China, Falun Dafa is being persecuted in particular. I hope that more people will sign the petition and condemn the persecution so that more people will know about it and it gets enough exposure. In this way, the CCP will not be able to persecute the practice with impunity.”

Seyhan also hoped that through signing the petition, “It will enable the German government to ultimately adopt a values-based foreign policy,” and help stop the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa.

Dagmar Olalere, an administrative assistant at a research center, was also very happy to sign the petition in support of Falun Dafa practitioners. “I hope that the government will understand what is happening and that this matter [the persecution] can receive more attention worldwide.”

Judith said, “Through signing the petition, I am expressing my intention. I hope that this can at least make Germany take action against this.”

Many passersby signed petitions to condemn the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa.

The More Signatures, the Greater the Impact

Many people said that a signature may seem insignificant, but small contributions can have a great effect and their signatures will encourage more people to sign.

Emily and Grete are tenth grade students. Both of them said that signing the petitions, “Is a good thing.” Emily said, “Falun Dafa practitioners are being persecuted and even have their organs harvested while they are alive. How can we let such things happen? We have this chance to sign [these petitions] and help them. Of course we must sign.”

Grete said, “These values [Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance] should not be persecuted. There is no question about it that this [the persecution] is wrong. People should not tolerate it. What is important is that these people [Falun Dafa practitioners] enjoy the same rights as us, instead of being persecuted. Therefore, we support them. We hope that their situation can change for the better.” She added, “To us, these are just signatures. However, as signatures increase in numbers, we will be able to see their growing impact.”

Gro Friedrich, an octogenarian, also shared similar views, “I sign the petitions because through many signatures, we can cause a certain impact. If not, nothing will change.”

Law student Eva said after signing the petition, “I truly hope that this petition can obtain all the signatures that it needs to be of help and stop this. At least, there can be some breakthrough and save more people from being persecuted. I also hope that this topic can be spread widely so that more people can understand the truth, wake up and see the true nature of this matter.”

Letting more people understand the truth about the situation in China is what Falun Dafa practitioners continue to do despite facing the CCP’s persecution and even losing their lives. In the past 26 years, they have continued their efforts to end the persecution in a rational manner and spread the truth, earning respect worldwide.
