(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Guixiang Admitted to Prison
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Changyan and Ms. Dong Zhongxia Arrested
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested
4. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Shen Meiyin Sentenced to Three and a Half Years in Prison
5. [Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
6. [Hebi City, Henan Province] Ms. Su Li Arrested
7. [Yongqing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Fengying and Ms. Zheng Suping Arrested

1. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Guixiang Admitted to Prison

Ms. Sun Guixiang was sentenced to eight years by the Aimin District Court after a hearing on April 2, 2025. She was admitted to the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison on July 30, 2025.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Changyan and Ms. Dong Zhongxia Arrested

Ms. Yu Changyan was arrested on the morning of August 14, 2025. She was taken to the Shenyang City Detention Center that night.

Ms. Dong Zhongxia was arrested at home around the same time by officers from the Zhengliang Police Station and Shenyang City Police Department. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books. It is unknown where she is being detained.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Gongren Village Police Station and the Tiexi District Police Department arrested at least nine practitioners on August 14, 2025, including Mr. Zhang Rui, 47; Mr. Zhang’s father, 78; Mr. Zhang’s wife, Ms. Ma Xiaoxuan, 46; Mr. Zhang’s son; Mr. Li Zhongxiao, 75; Ms. Sui Hua, in her 70s; Ms. Bai Xue, in her 40s; and Ms. Wang Fenghua, 66.

The female practitioners are being held in the Shenyang City First Detention Center while the male practitioners are in the Tiexi District Detention Center.

4. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Shen Meiyin Sentenced to Three and a Half Years in Prison

Ms. Shen Meiyin was put on criminal detention on October 9, 2023, and issued a formal arrest warrant on Novermber 14, 2023. She was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan on July 25, 2025. Prior to this latest incident, she was sentenced to nine years in prison by the Huaxi District Court in February 2015.

5. [Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xu Qiuzhen and three other practitioners were arrested at Ms. Xu’s home on the afternoon of April 17, 2025. All of their homes were ransacked. The other three were released later that day. Ms. Xu is still detained.

Ms. Xu was previously arrested by Jiaoling County Domestic Security Division officers on April 28, 2021. She was tried in the Meixian District Court on October 22, 2021, and later sentenced to two years and eight months with a 25,000-yuan fine.

6. [Hebi City, Henan Province] Ms. Su Li Arrested

Ms. Su Li was discovered distributing information about Falun Gong around May 13, 2025. She managed to leave before the police reached her home. They ransacked her home and confiscated her computer and Falun Gong informational materials. She was later arrested in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, and escorted back to Hebi City. She was taken to a brainwashing facility in the Shanhou Village Committee Office on May 19, 2025, where she was interrogated and pressured to sign a statement giving up Falun Gong. She was released on bail on May 31, 2025.

7. [Yongqing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Fengying and Ms. Zheng Suping Arrested

Ms. Ma Fengying was arrested at home by Longhuzhuang Police Station officers on the afternoon of August 13, 2025. The police confiscated all her Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder. Ms. Ma was released early the next morning.

Ms. Zheng Suping was arrested at home by officers from the Yangmazhuang Township Police Station on the afternoon of August 13, 2025. They confiscated her Falun Gong books and 300 yuan in cash. She was released that evening.
