Factory Owner Appreciates a Falun Dafa Practitioner’s Honesty

(Minghui.org) I started a wholesale business early in 2006. I initially sourced the products directly from the manufacturers and then distributed them to various stores and vendors. I noticed there was a woman who also worked in the wholesale business.

One day she called me, pretending to be a customer, and asked me to visit them because they wanted to check the delivered goods. As I was still new to the business I couldn’t distinguish whether the voice on the phone was a customer’s or not, so I went. As soon as I arrived I was confronted by the woman, her sister-in-law, and her younger sister. They surrounded me, and she pointed at me angrily accusing me of stealing her customers. She claimed I took advantage of her personal hardship, as she was no longer married. I was shocked by her hostility and thought to myself: Business is never a solo endeavor; there are competitors. Isn’t she being overly aggressive?

After that incident, I felt intimidated and resentful whenever I saw her. But over time, I reminded myself that I’m a cultivator and I must not behave like an ordinary person. While many people place great importance on money, cultivators should be considerate and selfless. I gradually calmed down and began to calmly interact with her.

A factory we both worked with later shut down and was sold to this woman. She then became the new owner, and I continued to order goods from her. Two particular incidents during this period stand out:

I placed an order for 30 items, but she counted only 28 upon delivery. During the unloading, I had other paper goods on the truck, and to prevent damage, I tucked two pieces of her items between them. Neither of us remembered it during the final count, so she charged me for 28 pieces. After delivering the goods to my customer, I realized there were two extra pieces. I felt deeply responsible and called her that evening to explain the mistake and pay for the additional items.

She responded warmly, saying, “You are a person of great integrity. It’s rare to find someone like you these days.” She knew I practiced Falun Dafa and said that only a practitioner would be so honest. I agreed and said, “If I didn’t practice Falun Dafa I wouldn’t have done this. Our Master teaches us to be considerate of others, to be kind, and to live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” I took this opportunity to clarify the truth to her about Dafa, and she agreed with me very much.

On another occasion, she sent a driver to deliver goods. The correct price was 640 yuan, but the invoice mistakenly listed it as 64 yuan, which was missing a zero. The shipment was large, so the driver and I simply counted the items and paid based on the invoice. After the driver left, I reviewed the invoice and noticed the error. I immediately called her to explain. She laughed about her mistake. Then she added, “You’re so kind! Your Master is amazing to teach Dafa to many good people. If someone else encountered the error and stayed quiet, I would’ve lost money. Dafa is truly great!” I replied, “Please thank our Master. Without Dafa, I wouldn’t have acted this way, but would have focused on my own gain. It’s Dafa that taught me to be kind to others. I’m truly grateful to Master!”
