(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Wenhua and Daughter Ms. Liu Tian Detained

Ms. Wang Wenhua’s daughter, Ms. Liu Tian, was arrested on August 3, 2025, for placing more than a dozen small speakers in public places to broadcast Falun Gong facts. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a printer and other belongings. They also arrested Ms. Wang, who lived with her daughter. After 15 days of detention, Ms. Wang was released and Ms. Liu was transferred to the Jiamusi City Detention Center.

Mr. Zhu Fei was harassed at home by officers from the Jiao District Police Department on the afternoon of August 11, 2025. They attempted to take two bags of Falun Gong books from him, and relented given his strong protest.

2. [Tianjin] Practitioner Guo Jia Criminally Detained

Practitioner Guo Jia was arrested by officers from the Wuqing District Domestic Security Division and Quanxing Road Police Station on September 3, 2025. The officers ransacked Guo’s home and confiscated Falun Gong books and other belongings. Guo is being held in the Wuqing District Detention Center.

3. [Gaotang County, Shandong Province] Ms. Jin Guizhi Arrested

Ms. Jin Guizhi was arrested on August 29, 2025 and held in Liaocheng City Detention Center in Liangshui Town. She has been sentenced to three months in prison.

4. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Yanqiu Awaiting Result of Her Appeals

Ms. Chen Yanqiu was sentenced to nine years in prison by the Shuangqiao District Court in May 2025. She appealed with the Chengde City Intermediate Court, which scheduled a hearing of her case for September 9, 2025.

5. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yu Chunjie Arrested

Mr. Yu Chunjie’s wife, who doesn’t practice Falun Gong, was arrested on August 28, 2025. The police took her home and searched the place. They then staked out the home and arrested Mr. Yu as soon as he returned home. He is currently being held in the Changchun City Detention Center.

6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. E Fujun Arrested

Mr. E Fujun, 46, was arrested at home on the morning of September 4, 2025.

7. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Xueya and Her Husband Mr. Zhao Chong’an Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhang Xueya, 61, and her husband Mr. Zhao Chong’an, 65, were sentenced to three years and nine months in prison and three years and six months in prison, respectively, by the Qindu District Court in October 2024.

Mr. Zhao has been tortured into incontinence and is unable to take care of his daily needs. He is serving his term outside of prison. Ms. Zhang is being held in Shaanxi Province Women’s Prison in the capital of Xi’an.

8. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yan Ling Arrested

Ms. Yan Ling, in her 70s, was arrested on August 27, 2025, by officers from the Tongzhou District Domestic Security Division. She is being held in the Nantong City Detention Center.

9. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Deng Xiujuan Taken to Prison

Ms. Deng Xiujuan, 70, was arrested on March 4, 2025. She was sentenced to fifteen months and fined 2,000 yuan by the Linghai City Court. She has been admitted to Liaoning Province Women’s Prison.

10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Lingmei, in Her 80s, Faces Prison Time

Ms. Zhang Lingmei, in her 80s, was sentenced to an unknown prison term by the Xinzhou District Court in 2022. The court didn’t immediately order her to start serving time, but on the morning of August 19, 2025, a group of police officers showed up at her home and said the judge had ordered that she be taken to prison. She refused to cooperate with the physical exam. The police held her at the Dongxihu District First Detention Center for a day and then released her.

11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yu Lamei’s Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Yu Lamei, 73, was arrested at home by local police and community personnel in May 2023. She was held at the Wuchang District Brainwashing Center for a year, and released in May 2024. She has gone missing since May 2025.

12. [Beijing] Ms. Yang Meiling Harassed

Ms. Yang Meiling was harassed at home by police officer Xie Tian and others on August 13, 2025. They forced her to sign statements renouncing Falun Gong.

13. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Gao Zhijun and Ms. Ling Junhui Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Gao Zhijun was arrested by Xicheng Police Station officers on September 21, 2022, and taken to Nanchong City Detention Center on September 23. She appeared in the Shunqing District Court on August 23 and November 14, 2023, and was subsequently sentenced to three years in prison. She was taken to the Chengdu Women’s Prison on March 27, 2024, and is scheduled to be released on September 20, 2025.

Ms. Ling Junhui was arrested by officers from the Jialing District Domestic Security Division on September 20, 2022, and her home was ransacked. She was held in Nanchong City Detention Center. The Jialing District Court sentenced her to three and a half years in prison on March 31, 2023.

14. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Lirong Arrested

Ms. Zhang Lirong was arrested at home by Donggang Police Station officers on May 13, 2025. The police confiscated two Falun Gong books, and forcibly took her to the hospital for a physical exam. She was denied admission by the detention center due to having high blood pressure and released the same day.

15. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Yuxia Arrested

Ms. Sun Yuxia was arrested at home on August 28, 2025. She was held in Changchun City Detention Center and released on September 3, 2025.
