(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities in Utrecht to introduce the spiritual practice and raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution on August 17 and 24, 2025. They demonstrated the exercises, displayed banners, distributed flyers, and collected signatures on a petition calling to stop the CCP’s human rights abuses.

Utrecht is the fourth-largest city in the Netherlands and the capital of the province of Utrecht. Practitioners set up a booth at the exit of the central train station. Their melodious music and banners drew the attention of many passersby. People carefully read the informational materials and signed the petition to be submitted to the G7+7 countries [Note: The G7 countries are the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom; the +7 countries are Argentina, Australia, India, Israel, Mexico, South Korea, and Taiwan].

Many people not only thanked the practitioners for providing this valuable information, but also said that Falun Dafa’s values are important and everyone should treat each other with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

A Truck Driver Who Was Misled Learns About the Facts

Gaetano Rijkaard, a truck driver living in the Netherlands, shared his thoughts with a practitioner after seeing the banner. He had previously considered practicing Falun Dafa, but had been misled by online propaganda from the CCP that demonized Falun Dafa. The practitioner explained the true situation of Falun Dafa in detail, dispelling Rijkaard’s misunderstandings.

Rijkaard shook hands with the practitioner, expressed his gratitude, and signed the petition to show his support. “Forced organ harvesting from human bodies is unacceptable!” he said.

“Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are beautiful values!” he said, “If everyone lived by them, the world would be a better place. Unfortunately, not everyone in our world thinks this way.”

He also said that the CCP’s persecution of practitioners who adhere to the values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance is unacceptable. “This persecution is bizarre and should not be happening!” he said.

A Young Man Wishes to Learn Falun Dafa

Justin lives in Culemborg in the Netherlands. After learning about the CCP’s persecution of religious beliefs and Falun Dafa, he signed the petition and expressed his desire to start practicing Falun Dafa. He asked where he could attend an introductory session to learn the exercises.

Utrecht Resident: Falun Dafa Values Are Important

Utrecht resident Janno van den Bosch also signed the petition, saying he was aware of the forced organ harvesting taking place in China.

“Over the past five to ten years, you’ve often heard about things like this happening in China. As far as I know, the EU and other countries have taken very few measures to address this. Therefore, I think this petition is a good initiative, and I’m signing it, hoping to bring about positive change in China,” he said.

He also believes that the values of Falun Dafa are very important: “It’s part of being human. Everyone should treat each other in this way and respect others.”

He also said that the persecution of these values must stop immediately, “This is a complete violation of human rights, and I find it unacceptable!”

Jo Nimwegen, also from Utrecht, had voluntarily signed up to be an organ donor in the Netherlands. When she learned that the CCP was forcibly harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners and killing them, she pointed to the petition board and said that this was why she signed.
