(Minghui.org) Skierniewice, Poland’s largest agricultural center, hosted the nation’s most anticipated 48th Harvest Festival from September 19 to 21, 2025. The festival transformed the small town into a showcase of flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) practitioners participated in the Harvest Festival parade and were well-received by the public.

The festival featured a variety of activities, including fireworks, food tastings, celebrity concerts, hot air balloon rides, and a bustling market. The opening of the 27th Polish Horticultural and Agricultural Expo and the 18th Healthy Food Expo drew not only local residents, gardeners, and scientists, but also experts, scholars, and numerous companies from other parts of Poland.

Nearly 60 groups from schools, kindergartens, clubs, associations, and municipalities participated in the parade in Skjerniewice on September 20. The parade marched from Prymasowska Street to the Municipal Stadium. The Governor of Łódź Province, the Speaker of the Łódź Voivodeship Sejmik, legislators, the Mayor of Skjerniewice, and dignitaries from 29 surrounding municipalities watched the parade.

Polish Falun Dafa practitioners have participated in the Harvest Festival parade for many years. This year, their colorful flower float and traditional Chinese golden dragons was once again a popular feature in the parade, and they were greeted with applause. A mother and her son on the float demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, accompanied by music. A practitioner beside the float used a loudspeaker to introduce the exercises to the public. On both sides of the float, practitioners distributed leaflets to spectators. The banners worded in both Chinese and Polish conveyed the messages: “Falun Dafa Is Good,” “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance Make Us Good People,” “Falun Dafa Is Practiced Around the World,” and “Falun Dafa in Poland.” The golden dragon interacted with the audience to their surprise and delight.

Krzysztof Jażdżyk, mayor of Skärniewice, thanked Falun Dafa practitioners for participating in the parade and said, “This is the only parade of this scale in Poland. Thank you for your participation.”

Dariusz Klimczak, Minister of Infrastructure, said, “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are very important values, and we welcome anyone who promotes these universal values. The world today lacks kindness, empathy, and consideration for others. We live in Poland, and a war is raging just across our eastern border. I believe that if more people accept these values, there will be less conflict in the world.”

Krystyna Aldridge-Holc, president of a national foundation headquartered in Warsaw, said, “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are so important. We should all take action to learn this and pass it on to everyone, because this is what we truly lack—patience, peace, and tranquility. I personally strive to learn this.”

Zbigniew Micał, from the Podkarpacka province in southern Poland, is a member of the board of directors of the Carpathian Agricultural Chamber of Commerce and director of the Carpathian Agricultural Advisory Center. He said, “The principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance benefit society. They encourage us to work hard, uphold our faith, and help each other, fostering a harmonious society.” Regarding the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China for upholding the principles, he said seriously, “Each of us should do our best to condemn this discrimination worldwide.”

Raising Awareness of the CCP’s Persecution

Zbigniew Wyszogrodzki, a council member of Skärniewice, was appalled when he learned about the CCP’s brutal persecution in China and said, “Forced organ harvesting is murder, and everyone must firmly oppose it. Not everyone knows about this. I suggest discussing it with the mayor. I believe that when Falun Gong practitioners speak at the city hall, the mayor will initiate the appropriate procedures. I also believe that the council members will make a decision on this serious issue, and we will do our job well.” “I am appalled by the forced harvesting of organs from prisoners or kidnapped people. I firmly oppose this crime of genocide.”

Following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Makes the Society Better

Jacek Lenartowicz and his colleague Beata Janiszewska, both hot air balloon pilots from Lublin, participated in the Harvest Festival hot air balloon event. Jacek said, “I heard about Falun Gong in Lublin three years ago and I’ve always been interested in learning the exercises. I’ll find time to try it. Seeing the Falun Gong float and dragon dance in this parade was very heartwarming.”

Speaking of the values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, Beata said, “What matters is whether we can put them into practice. If we can consciously apply these values in our lives, our society will be better.”

Local residents Anna Rylik and her husband, Paweł, said they watch the parade every year. They praised practitioners and Paweł said, “I wondered if the dragon would come this year, but it turned out to be exactly what I hoped for. It’s a real golden dragon. It’s amazing, so beautiful!”

Anna said, “I heard the Chinese government is persecuting Falun Dafa. This is absolutely unacceptable. Everyone should have the freedom to express their beliefs. A government that persecutes its citizens is clearly not a good government, or more precisely, not a good steward.”

Paweł said, “I believe Falun Dafa’s values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are essential. We should study them diligently and practice them in our daily lives.” The couple thanked practitioners for participating and said, “I wish you good health and hope you persevere.”
