(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Li Zhongying was sentenced to two years and three months by the Jiangbei District Court after a hearing on June 26, 2025. She appealed with the Chongqing First Intermediate Court, which scheduled a hearing for her case on September 17, 2025.
Ms. Wang Zhixin was arrested on July 16, 2025, after being forced to live away from home for 13 years. She was indicted by the Qianxi County Procuratorate on September 11, with the false charge of “leaking state secrets.” She is now facing trial by the Qianxi County Court.
Mr. Zhang Guoli was arrested and taken to the Gaishan Police Station on the evening of September 10, 2025. He was transferred to the case processing center of the Fuzhou City Police Department the next day and forced to undergo a physical exam and have his blood drawn. Mr. Zhang is currently held in the Fuzhou City Second Detention Center, where he started a hunger strike to protest the persecution. His wife hasn’t received any official document or notice regarding his detention.
Ms. Song Ruixiang was reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong at the Bohetai Township Farmers Market on September 8, 2025. She was arrested and taken to the Zhaoyuan County Police Department. She was later transferred to the Daqing City Second Detention Center and has been denied family visits.
An officer from the Xinle Police Station went to Ms. Yi Xiaoqin’s home on the morning of September 2, 2025 to harass her. As she wasn’t in, he took pictures of her mother. The police returned in the afternoon and attempted to take Ms. Yi’s blood sample. She refused to comply.
Mr. Zhang Pai was photographed by plainclothes officers while talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of September 6, 2025. He managed to escape arrest. The police identified him through facial recognition technology and ransacked his home that evening.
Ms. Fu Aixia, 70, was arrested by Youguzhuang Town Police Station officers while distributing Falun Gong materials in Youguzhuang Town on the morning of August 28, 2025. She was taken to the Jizhou District Police Department. More than 10 officers ransacked her home and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, incense burners, and other items. Ms. Fu was taken to the hospital for a physical exam. The detention center refused to admit her as her systolic blood pressure reading was over 200 mmHg. She was released on bail on August 29.
Ms. Guo Guirong was also arrested with Ms. Fu. Details about her situation aren’t known.
Officers from the Qijiawan Police Station in Huangpi District ransacked the home of Ms. Zhu Changfeng, 73, in early August 2025. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and informational materials.
The case of Ms. Li Yongling has been submitted to the local procuratorate.
Mr. Wang Changping was arrested at home by officers from the Yunmeng County Domestic Security Division and the Chengnan Police Station, after they broke in on the morning of September 12, 2025. The officers took Mr. Wang to Yunmeng Hospital for an electrocardiogram. He was then directly taken to the Yunmeng County Lockup Center.
Ms. Li Li was sentenced to three years and ten months in May 2025. She was admitted to Hebei Province Women’s Prison on September 4, 2025.
Ms. Yin Aimei was arrested by Baiguo Town Police Station officers on the morning of September 12, 2025.
Mr. Wan Guojun’s home was ransacked while he was out on July 8, 2025. The police staked out his home and arrested him in early September.
Ms. Wang Zhengyong was sentenced to seven years in prison and fined 50,000 yuan by the Ranghulu District Court in December 2024. She was admitted to the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison at the end of July 2025.
Ms. Lu Xiuming, Ms. Zhao Yucai, and Ms. Li Junlan have been released from the Shandong Province Women’s Prison, after serving prison terms of sixteen months, eighteen months, and two years, respectively.
