(Minghui.org) Practitioners held activities in the Châtelet, Place d’Italie, and Belleville districts of Paris, France in August 2025, to introduce Falun Dafa and raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. The activities drew the attention of tourists and local residents. People signed a petition calling to stop the CCP’s persecution.

Event in Châtelet

Located in the center of Paris, the Châtelet district is a historic and bustling area known for its Chatelet Theatre and thriving commercial activities. It embodies Paris’s rich history and culture.

On Saturday, August 30th, practitioners demonstrated the exercises, raised awareness of the persecution, and collected signatures.

Aminata Sangare, a consultant for a Swiss medical and health product manufacturer, said, “When I saw them meditating so peacefully, I thought, ‘This must be an important topic.’ Then I read the display boards,” she said. “Ordinarily, organ transplants are performed under anesthesia, and the patient is in great pain upon awakening. But forced organ harvesting is...one can imagine just how horrific it is. So, I signed to encourage your actions and to save lives.”

She continued, “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are powerful values. Truthfulness means truth. Compassion is particularly important, enabling people to care for each other. Forbearance is a virtue. Without patience, it’s difficult to achieve our goals. Forbearance is not easy because we live in a fast-paced world where we all want everything as quickly as possible. But sometimes life requires us to wait. We also realize that the process of patience allows us to grow and become more receptive to certain things. Forbearance is essential.”

Ahamada, an optician, was delighted to learn about Falun Dafa, “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are very important. They are essential values for humanity and allow us to move forward in this direction.” He signed the petition, hoping for an early end to the persecution.

Retired lawyer Eleni Zenity said, “Forced organ harvesting is inhumane and must stop!”

Financial administrator Marie-France said, “Forced organ harvesting is a barbaric act that is intolerable. It disrespects human life and should not exist.”

Event at Place d’Italie

The Place d’Italie is a square located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. It is a popular gathering place for Chinese and Asian people. On August 23, practitioners held an event at the Place d’Italie to introduce Falun Dafa and tell people about the CCP’s persecution.

Collecting signatures

Gymnastics teacher Samira said she was unaware of the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting in China, and was stunned, “This is not human behavior; it’s demonic.”

When she heard that Falun Dafa is taught for free, she praised the generosity, saying, “Thank you for all you’re doing!” Seeing people of all ages practicing, including some in their 80s, she wanted to join in. “People haven’t heard the news. We need to get everyone to practice with you.” She said she was delighted to encounter Falun Dafa and asked for the address and contact information for the Paris practice site.

Ben, a researcher, spent a long time talking with a practitioner. After signing the petition, he said, “This is horrific! I oppose this behavior. That’s why I signed.”

Mr. Zheng, who said he’s a beneficiary of the CCP system, left China eight years ago. He spent a long time at Falun Dafa activity sites and read truth-clarifying posters. He said, “The Communist Party is anti-human. What the CCP does is extremely despicable.”

Event at Belleville

On August 22 and 29, two consecutive Fridays, practitioners held activities in Belleville, Paris, also known as the Chinese neighborhood. Practitioners displayed posters in Chinese. Visitors and the public learned about the persecution and signed the petition calling to end the persecution.

Singer Zacharie Sylla signed the petition after learning about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution. He said, “Everything is mixed up because of interests and money. I support peace and I oppose war!”

Seeing the practitioners’ peaceful exercise demonstration, he said, “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance have very positive energies. While they appear to be practicing the exercises and performing the movements, they are actually moving their bodies’ internal energy, which brings great benefits. People passing by can feel this positive energy field.”
