(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 27 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Li Zhuqing was arrested by the Beiling Police Station on the afternoon of August 26, 2025. Her home was ransacked.
Ms. Song Wenjuan, Ms. Wang Lingli, and Ms. Xu Jingying were arrested on August 21, 2025.
Ms. Zhang Xiuling was arrested by domestic security officers for distributing Falun Gong materials. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a cell phone, and Falun Gong books. She was taken to Duolun County Lockup on August 19, 2025.
Ms. Hao Cunlan was harassed at home by officers from Anjiabao Township in Wanquan District on the afternoon of August 20, 2025. When she refused to open the door, the officers scaled the fence to get into the yard. They forced Ms. Hao to give them her phone number.
The officers also harassed Ms. Zhao Guilin on August 4 and took pictures of her. Another practitioner, Mr. Ji Yongqing, who happened to be visiting Ms. Zhao, was also photographed.
Mr. Zhao Chunlin, Ms. Peng Yanqing, Ms. Tian Chunxiang and Ms. Ren Feng’e were harassed and/or had their photos taken.
Ms. Li Hong has been followed every morning she goes out since August 26, 2025.
Ms. Li Aifang was arrested while talking to people about Falun Gong at a bus station on the afternoon on August 22, 2025. She was taken to Macheng City Police Department. She was interrogated until midnight and then released. Her home was ransacked and items related to Falun Gong were confiscated.
Six unidentified officers broke into Ms. Li’s home again on the evening of August 26. They demanded to know the names of practitioners she had contact with and threatened to monitor her daily activities.
Ms. Mu Guirong was harassed at home by Chengfa Township Police Station officers on June 6, 2025. They demanded to take a photo of her wearing a padded cotton jacket. She refused to comply.
Ms. Ren Jinmei and several other practitioners were reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong on November 4, 2024. Ms. Ren was arrested by Zhang Chengfu, head of Wei County Domestic Security Division, and other officers.
She was forced to undergo a physical examination and have her blood drawn. She was held in Zhangjiakou City Lockup. She went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was released five days later.
Ms. Wang Lirong, 66, was arrested at home by six officers from Baogong Street Police Station on the morning of August 14, 2025. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to Shenyang City First Detention Center.
Mr. Shen Jinxiang, Mr. Yang Kui, Ms. Jia Yanfeng, Ms. Su Hong, and Ms. Su Ying, were arrested on July 18, 2025. Ms. Su Ying was released on bail on August 25, 2025. All five of them are facing indictment after the police submitted their case to the Hailin City Procuratorate.
Ms. Chen Guijiao and five of her guests were arrested on August 13, 2025 while studying Falun Gong books at her home. Staffers from Xugu Sub-district Administration Office and local police raided all six practitioners’ homes and confiscated their Falun Gong books. Two older practitioners were released that day, while Ms. Chen, Ms. Wang Fengmin, Ms. Peng Yuying, and Ms. Zou Chaxiang were taken to Wuhan City First Lockup for 10 days.
Before the four practitioners’ families picked them up on August 23, the authorities had transferred Ms. Peng and Ms. Zou to Liuji Brainwashing Center and Ms. Chen and Ms. Wang to an unknown location.
Ms. Gu Chao was released on August 10, 2025 after completing a four-year term.
