(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 25 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Fu Jingchun, gender unknown, Mr. Zhang Pengde, Mr. Li Shengxing, and several other practitioners were arrested on August 26, 2025.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Wei, first name and gender unknown, and two elderly female practitioners were arrested in Wei’s home by more than ten officers from the Guannan Police Station on the afternoon of August 25, 2025.

3. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Huijun Admitted to Prison

Ms. Zhao Huijun was sentenced to three years by the Xihu District Court on December 10, 2024. Her appeal was denied by the Benxi City Intermediate Court on May 7, 2025. She was admitted to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison some time before August 22.

4. [Xishui County, Hubei Province] Rao Maomao Detained

Rao Maomao, in their 60s, gender unknown, was arrested at home by four officers from the Qingquan Police Station at noon on August 25, 2025. They ransacked Rao’s home, seized Falun Gong books and other items. Rao was detained for 15 days.

5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Zhuqing Arrested

Ms. Li Zhuqing was arrested by Beiling Police Station officers when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on August 26, 2025. The police ransacked her home and seized a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, printers, and informational printouts.

6. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] About Twenty Practitioners Arrested

About twenty practitioners were arrested by Mengyin County Police Department officers on August 20, 2025, including Mr. Song Binkui, Ms. Zhao Yongjuan, Ms. Liu Xinqi and her husband, Mr. Teng Defang, Ms. Zhang Rongqiu, and Ms. Cao, first name unknown. The police ransacked practitioners’ homes, seized their Falun Gong books, printouts, and other items. Most of the practitioners were released that same day.

7. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Zhaofeng Detained

Ms. Wang Zhaofeng, 53, was arrested by Dehui Police Department officers at noon on August 28, 2025. She is being held in the Dehui City Police Department.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Deng Under Surveillance

Ms. Deng, 85, first name unknown, was followed, monitored and harassed by two young security guards ahead of the Chinese Communist Party’s military parade on September 3, 2025.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Lingli Detained; Ms. Fu Wenjuan Arrested

Ms. Fu Wenjuan and Ms. Wang Lingli were arrested on August 21, 2025. Ms. Wang was put into the Harbin City Third Detention Center.

10. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Xiurong Harassed

Ms. Zhao Xiurong, in her 80s, was harassed and photographed against her will at home by two officers from the Dingshengdong Police Station in mid-August 2025.

11. [Fucheng County, Hebei Province] Mr. Song Canzeng and Ms. Fan Zhanfeng Harassed

Mr. Song Canzeng and Ms. Fan Zhanfeng were harassed at home by Matou Town Police Station officers and several villagers on the morning of August 25, 2025.

12. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhu Yunxiang Under Surveillance

Ms. Zhu Yunxiang of Putuo District has been under police surveillance since August 26, 2025.

13. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Huang Youjun Harassed

Mr. Huang Youjun was harassed by Qianliang Town’s Yayuan Neighborhood Community security director Lei Lijun on the evening of August 26, 2025. Lei attempted to take a picture of Mr. Huang, but didn’t succeed.
