(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Jiao Xichen and Ms. Wang Mengxin were arrested on May 13, 2025. They were held in Heihe City, about 165 miles from Beian. They were tried by a court in Heihe on November 13. Ms. Jiao was later sentenced to eight years in prison and fined 30,000 yuan; and Ms. Wang was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan.
Mr. Gao Ke was arrested on June 16, 2023, by Daowai District Police Department officers. He was later sentenced to four and a half years. He was first sent to the Hulan Prison, and then transferred to the Tailai Prison several months later.
Mr. Gao was abused in prison, which caused him to develop a mental disorder. He talks to himself and experiences erratic mood swings. He is emaciated and has a lumbar spine injury, yet the prison hasn’t provided him with any medical treatment.
Ms. Yu Huamei was arrested by local police at the end of 2025, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was released on bail, with her son listed as the guarantor. Her son installed a surveillance camera at her home to monitor her, as the police threatened to arrest him if Ms. Yu went out to to talk to people about Falun Gong again.
Ms. Chen Shang was harassed at home on December 1, 2025, by agents from the Tiexi District Political and Legal Affairs Committee and local police. They ordered her to sign a paper to renounce Falun Gong. She refused to comply.
Ma Xiaoxuan and Wang Manxin, genders unknown, were detained for 12 days in the Dingzhou City Lockup. They were released on January 3, 2026.
An elderly female practitioner was harassed by Dacaozhuang Township Police Station officers. They seized her Falun Gong books and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and tried to coerce her into renouncing the practice.
Ms. Liang Chunqiao was arrested on November 17, 2025, by Jiulong Police Station officers. Her home was ransacked. She is being held at the Jiujiang City Detention Center.
Ms. Xu Nixia, 68, was arrested on May 13, 2025, by Baoshan District Domestic Security Office agents. She has been held at the Baoshan District Detention Center since. The Baoshan District Procuratorate has indicted her. She is now facing trial by the Jing’an District Court.
