(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 24 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Li Yuju, Ms. Zhang Jie, and another practitioner surnamed Quan were arrested on January 7, 2026, while studying Falun Gong books together at practitioner Wang’s home. All of their homes were ransacked by the police.
Ms. Dai Meixia was arrested by several plainclothes officers in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, on January 6, 2026.
Ms. Fang Caixia was scheduled to stand trial at the Ganjingzi District Court on January 8, 2026.
Mr. Yang Xiutian was arrested on December 30, 2025, by officers from the Lijing Street Police Station and Dawukou District Police Department. He was detained for seven days.
Ms. Chen Manying, Mr. Liu Shiqing, Ms. Li Huizhen, Ms. Li Huimin, and Mr. Xie Huijun were recently harassed by local police and had their photos taken against their will.
Mr. Gao Peifa and Mr. Gao Wenlong were released recently, after each serving a 3.5-year term.
Mr. Meng Fanli, Ms. Yu Huijuan, Ms. Wang Fengxia, Ms. Zhou Liying, and Yao Jun have been harassed at home by Liaohe Police Station officers since October 2025. The officers tried to force them to have their photos taken, but the practitioners refused.
Ms. Li Juxiang, 75, was forced to live away from home in November 2025, to avoid being arrested. Another practitioner, Ms. Zhou Huanzhen, 77, was harassed on January 5, 2026, after the police saw her on surveillance camera talking to people about Falun Gong.
Ms. Liu Wenying was arrested on November 14, 2025. She was detained for five days.
Ms. Wang Huiling was arrested on November 3, 2025, by officers from the Faku County Police Domestic Security Division and local police station. She was detained for one month and released on December 3, 2025.
Ms. Xiang Suwen, in her 40s, was arrested by officers from the Nanbu County Domestic Security Division on November 26, 2025. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated her computer, printer, cell phone, and Falun Gong books. Ms. Xiang was detained for 15 days. The authorities continued to harass her after she was released.
