(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Fang Caixia was tried by the Ganjingzi District Court on January 8, 2026. Her son, Mr. Wu Qi, was arrested after the trial for his efforts in seeking justice for her.
Mr. Cui Zhongxin and his wife Ms. Qi Guoxin, both in their eighties, have had their pensions unlawfully suspended since August 2020. They filed multiple lawsuits with the courts in Liaoning Province, but lost all of them. They appealed with the Liaoning Province High People’s Court, which scheduled a hearing for their case on January 16, 2026.
Ms. Qin Guofeng was arrested on January 4, 2026. She is currently held in the Weifang City Detention Center.
Ms. Cheng Guijun, Ms. Song Guifen, Ms. Zhang Wenping, Mr. Men Bingcheng, Mr. Yu Yongli, and Ms. Li Zhenying were sentenced to prison by the Ningjin County Court after a hearing on April 18, 2025. Except for Ms. Song, all of the other five practitioners appealed with the Dezhou City Court. The presiding judge Li Chaohui indicated that the appeals hearing would be held in January 2026.
Several officers from the Jia Town Police Station went to Mr. Yu Chunsheng’s home on the evening of December 30, 2025, and broke in by scaling the fence. They ransacked the home and confiscated several copies of Minghui Weekly and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder.
Four officers went to Mr. Yu’s home again on January 1, 2026, and ordered him to sign a detention notice. He refused to comply.
Ms. Zhang Xiuhua was harassed at home by two officers from the Renmin Road Police Station on December 18, 2025. They photographed her with a cell phone.
Ms. Wang Ling was harassed at home on January 8, 2026, by three officers from the Fangyuan Police Station led by the head of Fangyuan Property Management Section.
Mr. Gu Minglong was released from the Quyang County Lockup on January 6, 2026, after 14 days of detention.
