(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 22 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Shuhua Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
10. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Shufan and Ms. Gao Yumin Arrested

1. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Juhua Facing Trial

Ms. Liu Juhua, a 78-year-old retired teacher, was arrested on August 25, 2025, and placed under criminal detention the next day. She was scheduled to stand trial on January 16, 2026.

2. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Yuzhen Facing Trial

Ms. Xu Yuzhen was scheduled to be tried by the Lanshan District Court on January 23, 2026.

3. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Han Jianying Facing Trial

Ms. Han Jianying, a 52-year-old doctor, has been detained since her arrest in September 2025. She has been indicted by the Jianxi District Procuratorate and is now facing trial by the Jianxi District Court.

4. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Liu Aihua Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Liu Aihua, 86, was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison and fined 3000 yuan by the Nanming District Court. She is being allowed to serve time at home.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fu Xiumin Detained

Ms. Fu Xiumin was arrested and detained for 15 days in September 2025, after she was recorded by a door camera while distributing Falun Gong information materials in a residential building. Agents from the Dalian City 610 Office and Domestic Security Division ransacked her home and confiscated over 50 Falun Gong books and some paper currency bills imprinted with Falun Gong information.

An officer from the Quanshui Police Station called Ms. Fu’s daughter on January 8, 2026, and ordered her to take a photo of her mother. They also demanded that Ms. Fu renounce Falun Gong, which she refused.

6. [Kaijiang County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Deng Daoheng Released from Prison

Mr. Deng Daoheng was released on January 13, 2026, after serving an eight-year term.

7. [Tianjin] Ms. Gu Shuyan Detained

Ms. Gu Shuyan was arrested by officers from the Xiazhuzhuang Police Station on December 27, 2025. She was detained for 15 days and released on January 11, 2026.

8. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Ten Practitioners Harassed

Ten practitioners were harassed by local police and government personnel from early November 2025 to late December 2025. The practitioners included Ms. Peng Xueying, in her 80s; Mr. Hu Yugen, in her 70s; Ms. Tian Shiqun, in her 70s; Ms. Chen Huibin, in her 70s; Ms. He Dacui, in her 70s; Ms. Li Xuelian; Ms. Jiang Xiantao; Ms. Wu Sanmei; Ms. Cao Chunhua; and Ms. Zhou Xiaoli.

9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Shuhua Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Wang Shuhua was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 30,000 yuan by the Dadong District Court on November 25, 2025. She appealed to the Shenyang City Intermediate Court on December 3, 2025, and her case was accepted on January 7, 2026.

10. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Shufan and Ms. Gao Yumin Arrested

Ms. Wang Shufan, 74, and Ms. Gao Yumin, 59, were arrested by Xiangyang Police Station officers while she was talking to people about Falun Gong on January 9, 2026. Ms. Wang’s home was ransacked and dozens of Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder were confiscated. Ms. Wang was released at around 11 p.m. and Ms. Gao was given five days in the Fujin City Lockup.
