(Minghui.org) A man in Yitong County, Jilin Province, was recently sentenced to three years for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Mr. Liu Zhu, 61, was arrested at his home on March 3, 2025, by police from Yushu City in the same province, about 200 miles from Siping. Officer Fan Liming from the Yushu City Domestic Security Office forced Mr. Liu to stand in front of a satellite dish and took photos of him. They later built a case against him, accusing him of installing satellite dishes for people to receive “anti-China” TV programs from overseas media.

Mr. Liu was held at the Yushu City Detention Center after his arrest. He was tried by the Yushu City Court in late December 2025 and sentenced to prison at an unknown time.
