(Minghui.org) At least 44 Falun Gong practitioners in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, were arrested by over 200 officers on November 2 and 3, 2025. Four family members and neighbors were also seized during the police sweep.

The mass arrest was ordered by Wu Lan, director of Ningxia Public Security Department; Zhu Tianshu, secretary of Ningxia Political and Legal Affairs Committee; Wu Qidong, deputy director of Ningxia Public Security Department and director of Yinchuan City Police Department; and Zhang Tianxi, deputy director of Ningxia Public Security Department and secretary of the Party Committee of Yinchuan City Police Department.

To date, 11 practitioners are still detained, including Mr. Xie Yiqiang, Mr. Li Shilin, Mr. Zhao Lin, Ms. Mao Minwu, Mr. Ding Qian, Mr. Li Tianyuan, Ms. Li Jinhua, Ms. Shen Dongmei, Ms. Zhu Lin, Ms. Liang Yuhua, and Ms. Li Mengying. The police have submitted their cases to the Xixia District Procuratorate.

Below are details of eight practitioners and a neighbor’s arrests.

Ms. Shen Dongmei

Ms. Shen Dongmei, 49, was arrested at home on November 2. The police used a chainsaw to cut open her door and break in. After only two days at a local lockup, she was unable to walk on her own due to torture. The detention center guards also verbally abused her. She was transferred to the Yinchuan City Detention Center on November 9.

Mr. Song Jing

The police used a circular saw to break into Mr. Song Jing’s home on November 2, after he refused to open the door for them. When Mr. Song resisted the arrest, the police pepper-sprayed him. His eyes were swollen, and he kept coughing.

Mr. Cai Guojun

Mr. Cai Guojun was sleeping after working a night shift when the police broke in. They raided his place, but didn’t find any Falun Gong-related materials. Even without any evidence, they still detained him for seven days, with the charge of “disrupting social order.”

Mr. Xie Yiqiang’s Family of Five and a Neighbor

Mr. Xie Yiqiang was arrested on November 2, when he had just stepped outside his apartment building. The police then went to his apartment unit. His wife, Ms. Li Jinhua, refused to open the door. The police pried open the lock and broke in, arresting Ms. Li and her daughter, Miao Shan. One of Mr. Xie’s neighbors condemned the police for persecuting good people and was arrested as well.

Ms. Li’s brother, Mr. Li Shilin, and his wife, Ms. Zhu Lin, were also arrested on the same day. The police put a seal on their door.

Prior to their latest persecution, Mr. Xie had served a labor camp term and two prison terms, totaling 10.5 years. Ms. Li and her brother were sentenced to three and four years, respectively, following their arrests in May 2003.
