(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 23 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wu Jiaqin Faces Trial

Ms. Wu Jiaqin was arrested at a farmers market on May 12, 2026, then held in the Yantai Development Zone Detention Center. She was scheduled to stand trial on September 29.

2. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhou Shizhen, Wang Chaozhen, Zeng, and Bao were arrested by officers from the Hongxing Police Station on September 12, 2026. The police raided the practitioners’ homes and took them to the Anning Police Station Case Handling Center for photographs and interrogation. The practitioners were released after ten hours and placed under residential surveillance.

Ms. Li Zongming, 80, was heading downstairs to buy groceries on the morning of September 11, 2026, when she was stopped by three plainclothes officers from Gaoba Police Station. They searched her bag, confiscated her Falun Gong materials and paper currency bills with Falun Gong information printed on them, and took her to the police station for interrogation. She was released in the evening and placed under residential surveillance.

Ms. Zhou Yunying’s home was ransacked by the police at noon on September 11, 2026, and all of her Falun Gong books were confiscated. The police also took the 81-year-old woman to the Hongxing Police Station for interrogation. She was released in the evening and placed under residential surveillance.

Ms. Zhu Zongrong, Ms. Zhang Ziqin, and Ms. Wu Chunrong were arrested by officers from the Lantian Town Police Station in September 2026, at a private residence. The police confiscated several computers, printers, and supplies from the site. Ms. Zhu and Ms. Wu’s homes were also ransacked, and their Falun Gong books and other belongings were confiscated. The three practitioners were taken to the Anning Police Station for interrogation. The police also collected their fingerprints and footprints and took photos of them. Ms. Zhu and Ms. Zhang were released and placed under residential surveillance, while Ms. Wu was taken to a detention center.

3. [Guang’an City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Dagui Taken to Prison

Ms. Huang Dagui, 72, was arrested on September 3, 2025, and sentenced to one year and six months in prison on May 9, 2026. She was transferred to Sichuan Province Women’s Prison in August 2026.

4. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Suying, 81, was arrested by officers from the Gaocun Police Station and Zhonghan Police Station on September 11, 2026, and taken to the Shijiazhuang City Second Detention Center. Also arrested were Ms. Wang Su’ai, her daughter-in-law, Ms. Lu Lele, and Mr. Liu Xinshe. All four practitioners have been issued formal arrest warrants.

5. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Wenhua Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Liu Wenhua was sentenced to one and a half years in prison and will be transferred to Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on October 19, 2026.

6. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhu Faming Detained

Mr. Zhu Faming was arrested by Lanshan District Domestic Security Division officers in September 2026. He was held in Linyi City Detention Center.

7. [Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Ni Wanlin Detained

Ms. Ni Wanlin, in her 20s, was arrested at work by officers from the Jiaotong Police Station on September 21, 2026. She was detained in Yingtan City Detention Center for 10 days.

8. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Arrested

Ms. Sun was arrested at home around September 10, 2026, by officers from the Yishui County Domestic Security Office.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Yuxiang Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yuxiang was arrested on the evening of September 21, 2026, and was released the following afternoon.

10. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ji Lanxiang and Ms. Li Xiangming Arrested

Ms. Ji Lanxiang and Ms. Li Xiangming were arrested on September 17, 2026.

11. [Shenze County, Hebei Province] Ms. Jia Jingmian Arrested

Ms. Jia Jingmian, 57, was arrested at home by officers from the Qiaotou Township Police Station on September 12, 2026. They ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, a computer, and a printer. She was first taken to the Qiaotou Township Police Station, then transferred to the Shijiazhuang City Second Detention Center the next day. The police also arrested her husband and high-schooler-age daughter for interrogation.

12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cao Dongmei’s Whereabouts Unknown After Arrest

Ms. Cao Dongmei was arrested on the street in late March 2026. Her whereabouts have since remained unknown.
