(Minghui.org) Japanese practitioners in Hiroshima recently participated in two festivals, one on September 27 and the other on October 4, to introduce Falun Dafa to the community.
After watching the exercise demo and waist drum performance on stage, festival attendees talked with practitioners at the Falun Dafa booth. They liked the practice, and some criticized the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 27-year persecution.

Ms. Rikizen, 84, is a tennis coach and a former civil servant. She was glad to hear how Falun Dafa has benefited people physically and spiritually. “Falun Dafa is really good. In this tense modern society, living according to Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance is the most important,” she said.
She feels doing the exercises will make her feel younger and more energetic, and she plans to go to a nearby practice site to learn them.
Mr. Ito is a board member of the Hiroshima UNESCO Association. During a recent event he planned, he invited a Falun Dafa practitioner to be one of the speakers, but a Chinese participant strongly opposed it. “If Falun Dafa is involved, my business in China will be in trouble,” the Chinese person said.
Mr. Ito was very puzzled by this: Falun Dafa is registered with the city’s official departments and carries out activities that are beneficial to the citizens. Why would anyone object?
So he went online to search and learned about the CCP’s brutal persecution and the harvesting of organs from Falun Dafa practitioners while they are still alive. He felt that the Chinese government was quite strange.
Mr. Ito’s organization also participated in the festival on October 4. During the event, he visited the Falun Dafa booth twice. After talking with practitioners and learning what was going on, he said the CCP’s suppression of Falun Dafa is “foolish.”
Ms. Akasaki, 77, said, “We live a very happy life in Japan, so it’s hard for us to imagine that there is such cruel persecution. But it is happening right now, and this makes me very sad.”
Mr. Arima, who is a descendant of a Satsuma samurai, stopped at the booth and had a long conversation with Falun Dafa practitioners. When he learned that practitioners in China have been persecuted for 27 years, he said more people should pay attention to this: “To see what is right but [to ignore it] is cowardice.”
When a practitioner told him that the US Senate had unanimously passed “S.4009 - Falun Gong and Victims of Forced Organ Harvesting Protection Act,” Mr. Arima was pleased and wrote down a phrase from the ancient sage Laozi, “The net of Heaven is vast, its meshes are wide, yet nothing escapes it.” He said he did this to encourage Falun Dafa practitioners to continue their efforts.

Mr. Arima also left his email address and contact number and said he would attend the upcoming screening of State Organs, a documentary on the CCP’s organ harvesting from Falun Dafa practitioners.
