(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the Street Parade of the Tamsui Arts Carnival in New Taipei City, Taiwan, on October 3, 2026. Their group included the Tian Guo Marching Band and practitioners dressed in ancient Chinese couture.

Over 10,000 spectators lined the parade route, which covered historic roads and commercial areas.

Practitioners in ancient Chinese couture handed out keepsakes with the words, “Falun Dafa Is Good.” A tourist from the United States said it was the first he’d learned of Falun Dafa and that he would share the information with his family.

One local resident said that the Tian Guo Marching Band has always stood out to him and he asked for information about the band. He was impressed when he learned that band members came from all over Taiwan, including some who took the high speed rail from Kaohsiung in the south, and that they covered the expenses themselves.

A couple with a little boy waved at the practitioners in ancient couture and asked to take a photo with one. The mother said that the boy took a photo with practitioners last year and always remembered this beautiful memory.

During the parade, the Tian Guo Marching Band played multiple pieces composed by practitioners, including Falun Dafa Is Good, Drums and Trumpets Shake Ten Directions, and Triumph. Multiple spectators commented that the band was impressive, the members’ movements were synchronized, and the music was powerful.

Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance Are Important

Ms. Chu and her family watched the parade, and she said she enjoyed the Tian Guo Marching Band’s performance. After learning that the band members practice Falun Dafa, she happily said, “Thank you for telling me this. Thank you!”

She said it’s important to be kind and lead by example. She expressed her support for practitioners who are persecuted in China, and said she admired how they are able to remain kind.

Mr. Lu, a college student, said about the band, “The band is majestic in scale and spirit. The performance is powerful, spirited, and deeply moving.” He said that Taiwanese society needs the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and that people should support kindness, not go with the flow, and take a firm stance. He voiced support for practitioners’ steadfastly upholding Falun Dafa’s guiding principles: Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

This was the first time Mr. Lee, a teacher, saw the Tian Guo Marching Band perform. He said, “The band is large and stunning. The music is rich and three-dimensional.” He had seen Falun Dafa practitioners meditating at the West Gate Commerce District, but did not know that they also formed such a full-scale band so he was pleasantly surprised.

He said, “Taiwan very much needs the power of Falun Dafa’s guiding principles: Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. These are great values.” About the persecution in China he said, “Religious freedom is very important and should not be suppressed.” He also condemned the transnational repression carried out by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), saying, “It is very regrettable that this has happened.”

Ms. Chen, a housewife, said that society needs forbearance and that people should be tolerant of each other. She also said the entire world needs religious freedom and that people should respect each other.

Mr. Lo, a government employee, said a society needs to have Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and people should tolerate and help each other. “Only then can people live a good life!” he said. “Freedom of faith is what people all over the world long for.”
