(Minghui.org) After I began practicing Falun Dafa in 2010 my chronic ailments vanished, and I have remained free of illness and full of vitality ever since. My mother, who began practicing in April 1999, is now 82 years old; she has a radiant complexion and is brimming with energy.
Although my mother and I live in a rural area in the north, we are able to form one body with practitioners in the city, and we frequently collaborate with them to help Master save people. Over the past two decades my mother and I have traveled to more than 200 surrounding villages. We have gone from door to door to clarify the truth about the persecution and we help villagers withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations (the Communist Party, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers). I have lost count of how many villagers we helped withdraw, and we have handed out countless copies of truth-clarification materials. Below, I would like to share two brief stories about our efforts to save people—as a report to Master and to share with fellow practitioners.
One morning last spring, after breakfast, my mother and I decided to head to some distant villages to tell people how Falun Dafa is persecuted. We packed two bags with various informational materials. After sending righteous thoughts, we boarded a bus, and traveled about 15 kilometers, and then transferred to a private three-wheeled vehicle for another 10-plus km. Upon arriving, we passed through four villages, and we spoke to everyone we met about Falun Dafa and we encouraged them to quit the CCP.
Villagers often gather outside their front gates to socialize; many of them already knew us. One elderly person, upon seeing my mother, remarked: “This woman is back again! You’re in such great health—how old are you?” My mother replied with a smile: “I’m over eighty.” The other villagers commented: “She doesn’t look like she’s over 80 at all! This Dafa is truly wonderful—it teaches people to be good; what could possibly be wrong with that?!”
We explained to each of them the facts about the persecution, and most had already quit the CCP. In the past, people only knew that Falun Dafa is good and that practicing it meant being a kind person—and the persecution was merely the result of the malicious, petty-minded Jiang Zemin targeting good people. Now, however, people understand that the persecution of good individuals has sown the seeds of disaster, leading to karmic retribution. The constant succession of natural and man-made calamities serves as a warning to those who commit evil. Those who have not yet renounced their ties to the CCP risk being implicated when the Party meets its ultimate downfall. Consequently, those who previously missed the chance to withdraw were able to do so when we talked to them.
The villagers were particularly fond of our small audio players which contain truth-clarification content, and we made sure to bring several along each time. Often, because there weren’t enough to go around, the villagers would stop us from leaving; we would only be allowed to depart after promising to bring more on our next visit. Some even gave us their addresses, and asked us to deliver the materials directly to their houses.
Near the back door of a house, we encountered someone who had once practiced Falun Dafa but had stopped. She was delighted to see us, and explained that because the area was so remote—with no other practitioners around—she still wished to practice but didn’t have the books or any of Master’s other teachings. I encouraged her not to give up on studying the teachings, and said that missing this opportunity for cultivation would lead to deep regret later. I also promised to bring her a copy of the Dafa books during our next visit.
Whenever we set out to save people, we carry self-adhesive signs with information about Dafa, and place them in clean, conspicuous spots where passersby are sure to see them. After putting up the signs and sharing our message with the residents of a second village, our bags were empty. “Let’s head back,” my mother said. Just as we reached the edge of the village, the words “earth, water, fire, and wind” flashed through my mother’s mind, and she spoke them aloud. I turned around and was stunned—the sky had turned pitch-black. “Oh no! It’s a sandstorm—hurry!” I cried out.
My mother and I broke into a run, reaching the outskirts of a third village. A massive wall of yellow dust, whipped up by the gale, came crashing toward us. Large branches along the roadside snapped with a series of sharp, cracking sounds, and all the three-wheeled vehicles on the road came to a complete halt. We took cover for a moment, and when the wind eased slightly, we set off again toward the next village, which had a bus stop.
The wind soon intensified. Since we were moving in the same direction as the gale, we were completely enveloped by the violent gusts; we couldn’t even open our eyes or see the path ahead. It was spring, and farmers had already leveled their fields in preparation for planting. So, the loose, exposed soil was now being swept up by the wind. Mingled with broken tree branches, the dark earth swirled through the air, creating a tunnel of dust and sand.
My mother and I were lifted off the ground, hurtling through the center of this “dust tunnel” without our feet ever touching the earth. I was in the lead, while my mother—who is heavier—trailed about ten meters behind. “Don’t worry about me—just go!” she shouted. I tried with all my might to move backward, but the wind shoved me forward; my cries were swallowed by the gale, and my mother couldn’t hear a word. And so, caught in this wild dance with the wind, we were swept along for an hour, covering more than 10 km. By the time we reached another village, the wind had gradually begun to subside. When my mother caught up with me, our eyes met, and we both burst into laughter. Our faces were so thickly coated with dust that our features were completely obscured! Yet, the brimless cap on my mother’s head and the bag she carried remained perfectly intact. Despite the long distance we had covered, we didn’t feel the least bit tired.
Later, we learned from the weather forecast that it had been a Category 14 gale, and we had been right at its center. It was only because Master protected us that we were able to keep moving; otherwise, we wouldn’t have even been able to walk, let alone run.
One day last autumn, my mother and I prepared our materials—as we usually do—and set out for a village about 40 km away, a journey that required several transfers. Shortly after we boarded our first vehicle and traveled about 2.5 km, we noticed police stationed all along the roadside. Other passengers mentioned that a high-ranking official was expected to pass through the area that day.
After traveling about 25 km, the vehicle came to a stop. After we got off, we discovered that the roads had been completely sealed. What were we to do? My mother and I recalled Master’s words,
“Be resolute cultivating Dafa, the mind unstirredAscending in levels is what’s fundamentalFaced with tests, a person’s true character is revealedMay you achieve Consummation—Buddha, Dao, or God (“True Character Revealed,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress II).
My mother said: “No difficulty can stop us from our mission to save people.” Carrying our bags of truth-clarification materials, we crossed to the other side of the road and spotted a three-wheeled vehicle. I asked the driver: “Brother, are you taking passengers today?” He replied, “No one dares to drive today.” I asked; “Do you dare?” He said: “If you’re not afraid to ride, I’m willing to drive.”
I suggested, “Alright, let’s take the back alleys.” He replied: “Let’s see if that’s even possible.”
We navigated through several alleys and emerged onto a smaller side road. To our surprise the road was completely empty, devoid of both vehicles and people; our vehicle was the only one in sight. I realized then that Master arranged this transport for us. We traveled the remaining 15 km without a hitch, arriving safely at our destination.
This area is quite remote. My mother and I went from house to house in the first village, telling people about Falun Dafa, and everything went very smoothly. After traveling a long distance, we arrived at a second village and saw a group of men and women sitting under a large tree. I quickly counted them—there were over 20 people—and thought to myself, “That’s quite a large group.” I consulted with my mother, and we decided to assess the situation as we approached them.
We paused after taking just a few steps. Suddenly, one of the men said to the group, “The Falun Dafa practitioners are here!” He then called out to us, “Come on over! What’s the matter?” I answered: “There are so many people here.” The man said, “Just ask around—if anyone dares to say a word against you, I’ll take a stick to them!” I said: “Thank you!”
I suddenly realized that Master was using this man’s words to guide us, bolster our courage, and help us eliminate our fear. With his support, we were able to distribute all the materials we had brought. We spoke about the beauty of Dafa and the importance of withdrawing from the CCP. One elderly man, who was a party member, understood the truth and decided to withdraw from the Party. Those who had never joined any CCP organizations also agreed that Dafa is good. In the end, they all said: “We know that Falun Dafa is good; no one here opposes it. We all know that you are good people.” Moved, my mother and I pressed our palms together in heshi, wishing them peace and safety. We encouraged them to frequently say, “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and told them that doing so would bring them blessings.
Leaving the village with four informational booklets and a USB drive containing the facts on Falun Dafa still in our bag, we headed toward the next village. Upon reaching the village entrance, we encountered a few people chatting by the roadside and approached them. I said: “Hi there! Sorry to bother you—we practice Falun Dafa. Please take a look at these materials to learn the truth; understanding the truth is a blessing.” They accepted the materials, and some who had previously joined the Communist Youth League or the Young Pioneers decided to renounce their affiliations.
Although we faced numerous obstacles during this outing to share the truth, my mother and I remained steadfast in our commitment to save people, and Master paved the way forward for us. By breaking through interference from other dimensions, the subsequent process of saving people went very smoothly.
Having spent many years traveling to share the truth and save people, we have personally experienced that our Master is always by our side, watching over His disciples. My mother and I are determined to fulfill our vow to assist Master in saving sentient beings.
Thank you, Master, for your compassionate salvation!
