Helping People at a Barber Shop Withdraw From the CCP

Feb. 17, 2026 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) I met a young woman who was having her hair cut when I went to the barber shop. I asked the owner how long I needed to wait, and the young woman said, “I should be finished soon.”

When I asked the owner for advice about getting my hair permed, the young woman interjected, “You’re so pretty—a perm would definitely look good on you.” She was very talkative and joined in all of the conversations between the owner and me.

I started to pay closer attention to her and said with a smile, “You’re very outgoing. Let me guess—you must work in marketing. I think you and I may have a predestined connection.”

“Yes, I feel the same way,” she replied.

“That’s wonderful,” I continued. “I have some good news for you. Has anyone ever told you about withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations to stay safe? Have you ever joined the Party, the Youth League, or the Young Pioneers?”

She said, “I never joined the Party.”

“Did you wear a red scarf when you were a child?” I asked. “Did you join the Young Pioneers or the Youth League?”

“Yes, I wore a red scarf years ago,” she said, “but I never joined the Youth League.”

I explained, “No matter when you joined, you should still withdraw from the Party and its affiliated organizations. When you joined, you raised your fist and swore an oath to Heaven to dedicate your life to the CCP. The Party has committed many wrongdoings, and Heaven will hold it accountable. If you are still associated with it, you may be implicated. You should withdraw as soon as possible to stay safe. I can help you.”

I helped her withdraw using a pseudonym. Before we parted, I asked her to recite, Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I told her that sincerely repeating these words would bring her safety and good fortune.

Just then, a man came in for a haircut, and I had an opportunity to speak with him. I asked if he was retired. He told me that he retired from the commercial sector, but the pension wasn’t much.

I continued, “Have you ever joined the CCP, the Youth League, or the Young Pioneers? Have you heard about withdrawing from the Party to stay safe?”

He said, “I joined all of them, but I don’t want to talk about this and I still receive a monthly allowance from the Party.”

I said, “Then let’s talk about the allowance. The Party doesn’t run businesses or produce goods, so where does its money come from? Isn’t it all from the taxes we pay? Doesn’t it use taxpayers’ money to maintain its vast system? If no one worked or paid for social security, how could the Party pay pensions? Isn’t your pension the result of your own labor over the years? In reality, it is the people who support the Party, not the other way around.

“Also, do you know of any organization in the world that requires its members to raise their fists and swear an oath to Heaven, pledging their lives to it? Isn’t making such an oath cruel? Oaths must be honored, and Heaven is watching what people do.”

I continued, “Nowadays, there are people who deceive others for food, money, or personal gain—but who deceives people in order to give them peace? Wouldn’t it be better to distance yourself from the Party and stay safe? Don’t you want to live a peaceful life? Don’t you want to avoid natural disasters and man-made calamities?”

After a moment, he nodded and said, “Yes, please help me withdraw from the CCP.”

I helped him withdraw using a pseudonym. Before he left, I said to him, “I only hope that you have peace, stay away from evil, avoid disasters, and that you live a peaceful life.”

Just then, the barber’s son came home from school and had a red scarf around his neck. I smiled and said, “Hello, sweetheart, come here for a moment. I have something important to tell you.” The barber encouraged his son to talk with me.

I asked what grade he was in, and he replied that he was in the fourth grade. I said kindly, “Let me tell you about the red scarf. When you joined, didn’t you raise your fist and swear an oath, promising to dedicate your life to the CCP and to fight for it forever, even at the cost of your own life? Did you make such a promise?”

“Yes,” he answered.

I explained gently, “Your life belongs to you—you cannot give it to anyone else. That oath is harmful. You don’t need to keep it. Let’s erase that poisonous oath, okay? Just understand in your heart that it was wrong.”

The child agreed. I said, “I will use your real name to help you withdraw from the Young Pioneers. You don’t need to tell your teacher. Just remember in your heart.” He seemed to understand.

I also told him, “After withdrawing, you will stay away from disasters and illness and live a peaceful life. When you have time, remember to repeat, ‘Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness–Compassion–Forbearance is good.”

When I finished getting my hair permed, the whole family came out to see me off. They were friendly because they knew Falun Dafa is good and I also helped them withdraw from the CCP.

I am deeply grateful to Master for recognizing my sincere wish to save people and for arranging this opportunity for me to meet these predestined individuals and help them learn the truth. Thank you, Master!
