(Minghui.org) As the Chinese New Year approaches, Falun Dafa practitioners in the Tian Guo Marching Band in Montreal, Canada wish Master a Happy Chinese New Year. They recorded the music “Thank You, Master” to express their immense respect for, and gratitude to Master.

The practitioners said they feel honored that Master arranged for them to introduce Falun Dafa through music, and said they feel Master’s compassion. Master shows boundless compassion not only to practitioners but also to sentient beings. They will cherish this opportunity to pass Master’s compassion to the sentient beings with music with a more pure and sincere heart, and bring hope and brightness to more sentient beings.

Business School Student: Cultivation Encompasses Everything

Zi Jing plays the French horn in the Tian Guo Marching Band.

Zi Jing attends business school and plays the French horn in the Tian Guo Marching Band. She said that her family members all practice Falun Dafa. She memorized the poems from Hong Yin when she was very small. Because her family are members of the Tian Guo Marching Band, she also wanted to contribute, so she joined the band when she was 10 years old.

Because she has music training she became the band conductor. This is a challenging role, and at times when she kept making the same mistake, the rehearsal became chaotic. She felt upset every time this happened. When she looked inward she realized that how the rehearsal was going reflected her cultivation state. When she was agitated, the rehearsal didn’t go well. When she was calm, and treated every member with kindness and patience, she noticed everyone’s skills improved.

She said that Falun Dafa guided her as she grew up, and she was able to make choices to improve her cultivation. She recently experienced some major incidents such as a serious car accident, a work injury, and a dangerous life-threatening situation. But every time she stayed safe. She said, “These are powerful demonstrations of Master’s compassion. These accidents reinforced my belief and my gratitude to Master for his saving grace.

“Thank you, Master, for always protecting me. Thank you, Master, for bearing so much for us. Thank you, Master!” she said.

Falun Dafa’s Amazing Power

Camelia

Camelia is an educator, and she plays the cymbals in the Tian Guo Marching Band. She met a Falun Dafa practitioner at work in 2011, who suggested she read Zhuan Falun. She finished reading the book in one go and only slept a few hours that night. She was very attracted to the book, and read it again. Four days later, she started to read the book for the third time.

She said, “I found all the answers to my questions about life, and I was deeply touched by the book. Zhuan Falun helped me to look at my life from a brand new angle. I found the hope I had been searching for for years, and I started practicing Falun Dafa.”

The first time she saw the Tian Guo Marching Band in a parade, she was so touched that she couldn’t hold back her tears. She felt an unprecedented calm and peace, and she wanted to be a member of such a solemn and extraordinary group. She joined the Tian Guo Marching Band in May 2015, and she’s since participated in every parade.

She said she benefited a lot from participating with the band, and felt light and happy after every rehearsal and parade, a feeling that lasts for several days. She noticed the spectators were very happy and touched. Some look surprised to see the Tian Guo Marching Band, especially the Chinese people. She was very impressed by their reactions.

She also had some amazing experiences during parades. During one parade in New York, the temperature reached 43 - 44 degrees Celsius (111 degrees Fahrenheit) and the route was about 5 miles long. But she didn’t feel tired—she smiled throughout the parade and the cymbals didn’t feel heavy.

“I’d like to express my deep gratitude to revered Master. Thank you, Master, for helping me overcome so many difficulties. Thank you, Master!” she said.

New Members Thank Master

Ms. Liu and her grandson Rong Rong are members of Tian Guo Marching Band.

Ms. Liu and her grandson Rong Rong recently joined the band. Ms. Liu didn’t play a musical instruments before she joined, but she was determined to join the band because she hoped to share the uplifting music with people. She said that thanks to Master’s help she learned to play an instrument. She said, “We can pass the positive energy of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to people through music, and this cleanses their bodies and minds.”

Rong Rong, 14, plays a trumpet. He thanked Master and said he feels fortunate to have joined the band, and that many band members help him. When he became impatient after having difficulty playing a piece of music during rehearsal, he was not able to play it well. When he let go of his impatience and relaxed, he was able to perform smoothly. He didn’t make any mistakes the first time he participated in a parade.

Ms. Liu and her grandson said, “We are fortunate to play the composition: ‘Thank You, Master’ to express our immense gratitude to Master. Thank you, Master, for arranging for us to walk on our path to return to our true selves!”
