(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Zhang Yi was arrested when she went out around February 2, 2026. She is likely being held in the Baoshan District Detention Center.
Ms. Niu Guihua, Ms. Qu Lihong, and a practitioner surnamed Sun were arrested in the Xinchengzi area by plainclothes officers on February 7, 2026. Their homes were ransacked.
Mr. Jing, 80, was arrested at the Wangcun Farmers’ Market in Zibo City on the morning of February 9, 2026.
Officers from the Cao County Police Department and Niji Township Police Station arrested six practitioners and ransacked their homes at 6 a.m. on February 3, 2026. Mr. Sun Guodong, his wife Ms. Tao Ping, Ms. Yuan Peiling, and Ms. Yu Xiaoling have since been released. Ms. Yuan’s husband, Mr. Yu Zhiliang, is still detained. The situation of Mr. Li Xuedao and his wife is not clear.
Practitioner Li was arrested by Longgang Police Station officers on February 7, 2026. They ransacked Li’s home and confiscated Falun Gong books and a laptop. Li was released on bail.
Around the same time, the police also ransacked the homes of Yuan and Liu Yanrong and confiscated manyof their personal belongings. Liu was taken to the police station for interrogation and released on bail in the afternoon.
Ms. Liu Xingrong has been missing since January 23, 2026.
Ms. Wang Ping was arrested by Qinglong Police Station officers on May 10, 2023. Her home was ransacked. She was tried by the Chenghua District Court on July 25, 2025, and was sentenced to two years and six months in prison. She appealed the verdict, but her appeal was denied. She was released on February 6, 2026.
