(Minghui.org) Shen Yun Performing Arts will return to the David H. Koch Theater in New York City from March 25-April 12, 2026, with new programs for the 2026 season. Joseph Angelino, a New York State Assembly Member, recently recognized Shen Yun with a legislative citation honoring Shen Yun’s Artistic Director, and a certificate of merit congratulating the performing arts company on its 20th anniversary and return to Lincoln Center.

New York State Assemblyman Joseph Angelino issued a Legislative Citation and Certificate of Merit honoring Shen Yun’s Artistic Director and the 20th anniversary of the performing arts company.

Assemblyman Angelino represents the 121st District and is a member of the Committee on Ethics and Guidance as well as the Committee on Oversight, Analysis and Investigation.

Citation of appreciation for Shen Yun’s Artistic Director, issued by New York Assemblyman Joseph Angelino

Assemblyman Joseph Angelino wrote in his citation,

“This Legislative Citation is presented to Mr. D. F., Founder and Artistic Director of the Shen Yun Performing Arts in appreciation of his visionary leadership, artistic excellence, and dedication to universal human values through the founding and artistic direction of Shen Yun Performing Arts; and

“Whereas, through the power of the performing arts, Mr. D. F. has shared the values of truthfulness, compassion, resilience, and cultural heritage, inspiring audiences worldwide and fostering understanding, dignity, and harmony across cultures; and

“Whereas, presented in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Shen Yun Performing Arts and its 2026 World Tour return to Lincoln Center, New York this recognition honors a legacy of artistry and moral strength that continues to enrich communities and uplift the human spirit; and be it further

“Resolved, that a copy of this Citation, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to Mr. D. F., Founder and Artistic Director of the Shen Yun Performing Arts.”

Mr. D.F. serves not only as the company’s artistic and creative director, but also as costume designer and instructor of classical Chinese dance. Furthermore, he has composed a vast body of orchestral and vocal works for the original programs produced by Shen Yun. His works embody the spirit of 5,000 years of Chinese civilization, deeply captivating audiences around the globe. He has mastered the authentic bel canto vocal technique—a method long considered lost—and also serves as a Distinguished Professor of Music and Dance at Fei Tian College in the United States.

In the Certificate of Merit issued for Shen Yun, Assemblyman Angelino wrote, “The Assembly of the State of New York, in recognition of the achievement of 20th Anniversary of the Shen Yun Performing Arts and return to the David H. Koch Theater March 25th to April 12th, 2026, hereby presents this Certificate of Merit.”

Shen Yun will bring 18 performances to the David H. Koch Theater in New York City from late March through mid-April of this year. Shen Yun’s Lincoln Center performances draw large audiences every season, who enjoy and appreciate the traditional values presented by the company.
