(Minghui.org) I’m 64 years old and have practiced Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) since 1997. Everyone in my village knows that I practice Dafa. Last September, I was riding my bicycle to run some errands. When I reached the intersection north of the village, an electric tricycle suddenly struck me. The impact was strong. I heard a loud thud and was knocked to the ground. My head was throbbing.

Lying on the ground, my first thought was, “I’m a Dafa practitioner. I cannot just lie here. I must get up quickly.” I immediately sat up.

Several people who’d been in a small shop nearby ran over after hearing the collision. One of them asked anxiously, “Are you alright? Are you alright?”

I stood up and replied, “Yes, I’m fine.” Smiling, I walked back and forth a few times in front of them to show that I was okay. Someone suggested that I go to the hospital to get checked, but I said I would be fine, since I’m protected by Master Li.

I looked around and saw the person who’d been driving the electric tricycle. I recognized her and knew she lived on the east side of the village. She was trembling with fear and unable to say a word. “Don’t be afraid,” I said to her. “I’m fine, and I won’t try to extort money from you.”

Although I was fine, the rear wheel of my bicycle had been smashed, and my phone was broken in two. Several bystanders came over and helped make the bicycle movable again. I checked with two repair shops, but neither could fix it, so I ended up having to push the bicycle home.

On the way, it occurred to me that the woman who had hit me might want to buy something for me as compensation. I quickly went to her house. Just as I’d thought, she had already bought eggs, milk, and other items and was preparing to bring them to me.

I stopped her: “Please don’t do this. I don’t want any of it. Please return everything. Just remember ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ Look at me. I was hit so hard, yet I’m completely fine. I was blessed because I practice Falun Dafa, and you can be blessed, too.” I asked her to sincerely recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ so she would stay safe.

She was very grateful and exclaimed, “I’ve met a truly good person! I’m convinced you’re telling the truth!”

“I’m very happy for you. This is what my Master teaches us—to think of others whenever we encounter problems.”

I asked her if she had ever been a member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the Youth League, or the Young Pioneers. When she said she hadn’t, I reminded her about the phrases Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.

At around noon, the woman called my sister-in-law and asked her to pass along some items to me since I had refused them earlier. My sister-in-law told her, “She practices Falun Gong and won’t accept gifts.” That evening, the woman brought me an old bicycle. I politely refused to take it. She then took out 500 yuan and urged me to buy another bicycle, but I still declined her offer. My husband also reminded me not to take her money.

The woman looked very disappointed and kept saying, “I feel so bad that you won’t accept anything! I really feel terrible. I’ve met such a good person!”

The next day, a neighbor told me, “Everyone on the east side of the village is talking about you. They’re saying that the woman who got hit practices Falun Gong and that she refused to take anything in compensation.”

Nowadays, people can easily suffer broken bones even from a simple fall, especially someone in their 60s like me. Although I was hit so hard by an electric tricycle, I was unscathed. It was Master who protected me.

When I returned home, I offered incense to Master, as tears of gratitude streamed down my face. “Thank you, Master! Thank you, Master!”

I hope that, through this incident, people’s hearts can be awakened. May they let go of their confusion and suffering caused by the pursuit of fame and personal gain. At the same time, I pray that all predestined people can sincerely turn toward goodness, break free from the clutches of the CCP’s lies, and choose a bright future for themselves.
