(Minghui.org) A woman in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, was sentenced to two years in prison for her faith in Falun Gong, Minghui.org learned recently.
The wrongful conviction of Ms. Meng Xiangzhi, around 67, stemmed from a home raid on December 8, 2023. Two officers, including Ju Fengjin, from the Yuanbaoshan Town Police Station, confiscated from her home one copy of Zhuan Falun (main book of Falun Gong), a music player, six table calendars, and two pendants (all bearing Falun Gong information), a stapler, and other valuables.
Ms. Meng was not in during the home raid but was arrested at a later time. She stood trial at the Yuanbaoshan District Court on December 20 or 21, 2025. Other details of her prosecution remain unknown. She is now appealing the verdict.
Prior to her latest persecution episode, Ms. Meng was arrested another time on August 3, 2011, by officers Wang Heran and Feng Xiaohu from the Yuanbaoshan District Domestic Security Office. She was later sentenced to seven years and suffered brutal torture at the Hohhot Prison.
Ms. Meng was released ahead of time in January 2017, only to be arrested again in December 2023 and given another two years following a trial in December 2025. The Yuanbaoshan District Court that sentenced her also tried another local practitioner, Ms. Wang Fenghua, in December 2025. Like Ms. Meng, Ms. Wang received two years, having previously been sentenced to seven years.
