(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Four practitioners from a study group in the Chaoyang District were arrested by Anheqiaobei Police Station officers on January 18, 2026. Ms. Zhao and Dai Lin were released on the same day. Mr. Cai Ruitian was released on bail. Lin Nan has been issued a formal arrest warrant and is currently being held in the Beijing First Detention Center.
Ms. Liu Mingzhu was harassed at home by the chief of the Wujin Police Station and another officer on November 9, 2025. They took photos of her and accused her of “participating in illegal activities with other elderly practitioners.” They threatened to prevent her grandchildren from getting a higher education if she continued to practice Falun Gong.
The next day, the police made a harassing call to Ms. Liu’s daughter, who was working out of town. The day after that, officer Dong harassed Ms. Liu again at home. They ordered her husband to monitor her and prevent her from putting up Falun Gong posters in the neighborhood. They also ordered them to report to the police every time they planned to go out of town.
Ms. Liu Quantao was harassed at home on January 27, 2026. Ms. Li Shuzhen was harassed over the phone on February 2, 2026.
Ms. Chen Yuchun was released from prison on February 11, 2026, after serving a four-year term. During her imprisonment, she was denied visits with her family and was not allowed to buy food with her own money.
The Daqing Oilfield Company recently published a “Notice on Anti-Cult Prevention and Control Work.” The notice slanders Falun Gong and orders its employees who practice Falun Gong to sign statements to renounce their faith.
