(Minghui.org) Before I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1998, I had strong attachments, such as jealousy, combativeness, showing off, zealotry, and I was protective of my personal interests. I’ve owned a photo studio for more than 30 years. There were seven studios in our area, and I felt jealous when I saw people going to other studios.

Master Li Hongzhi, Falun Dafa’s founder, asked us to follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and not compete with others. After I learned these principles I calmed down. I no longer cared whether I had customers or not, but my business prospered. Now my studio is one of the remaining two studios in my area.

Since Jiang Zemin, former leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), began persecuting Falun Dafa in 1999, people were poisoned by lies and propaganda. I clarified the truth about the persecution to my customers. So that more people can learn the facts about Dafa, I kept the price of a document photo the same, while other studios doubled theirs. Some customers said my price was too low and suggested I raise it. I tell them that Dafa teaches us to be good people.

A middle aged man from Jilin Province came to the studio to take a photo. I asked him, “You came here to deliver the goods, right? It’s not easy to make money these days. You came all the way from Jilin to Shandong to get goods. The corrupt CCP officials steal our money.” He agreed and said the CCP was rotten, and that the officials steal money and send it abroad, together with their wives and children.

I continued, “The CCP killed 80 million people in its many political campaigns. It’s done so many bad deeds, Heaven will destroy it. Have you heard of quitting the CCP to stay safe?” He hadn’t, so I asked him if he joined the Young Pioneers, Youth League, or the CCP. I asked if he wore the red scarf. He did while in school. “Why don’t you quit the Party?” I said. “You’ll be safe and not be the CCP’s scapegoat.”

He quit the Young Pioneers using his real name, which is very courageous for people in China. I asked if he heard of Falun Dafa? He said, “Yes. I heard it’s pretty good. It originated in Changchun in our Jilin Province. We had many practitioners.”

I said he was knowledgeable. I told him that Falun Dafa asks people to follow ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance’, and Jiang Zemin persecuted Dafa because he was jealous of its popularity. They staged the self-immolation incident on Tiananmen Square and then arrested, imprisoned, killed, and extracted organs from practitioners. Falun Dafa is now practiced in over 100 countries and is widely supported. He listened carefully.

I asked him to remember, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and told him to tell his family and friends. He agreed. I gave him a Dafa amulet. He said he would safeguard it, and thanked me sincerely. I asked him to thank Master instead, which he did.

A 70 year-old couple came to the studio. I asked them how their health was. The man had just been discharged from the hospital. I said, “The worst thing for a person is to get sick.” He agreed, saying that one would suffer as well as lose money.

I told him that it’s been 27 years since I last took any medicine or had an injection. I had back ache, leg ache, neurasthenia, lumbar pain, and intermittent headaches when I was in my 30s. I was in so much pain I felt I would die. But all the ailments disappeared after I practiced Falun Dafa. He responded, “The woman taking care of my roommate when I was hospitalized practices Falun Dafa too. She asked me to quit the CCP, but I didn’t. I did not believe what she told me.”

“She was saying that for your sake,” I responded, “so that you can have a good future. You know the CCP is evil. It has killed over 80 million people in its various campaigns. Deng Xiaoping [one of the CCP’s former leaders] suppressed college students and had them killed on June 4, 1989. Jiang Zemin persecuted Falun Dafa in 1999, then fabricated the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident and arrested, imprisoned, and killed many practitioners. They even harvest practitioners’ organs and sell them. The CCP is so evil that Heaven will destroy it.”

I continued, “Have either of you joined the CCP, Youth League, or Young Pioneers?” The man said he joined all three. The woman said she wore the Young Pioneers red scarf while she was in elementary school. I said, “Why don’t you quit them all. It will keep you safe. We don’t want to be the CCP’s scapegoats when Heaven eliminates it.”

They agreed. I asked them to recite the auspicious phrases, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” every day to be safe. I gave them informational pamphlets, and asked them to pass them to their friends and relatives after they read them, and tell others about Falun Dafa.

After they left I regretted not giving them my last amulet. I saved it for my mother. I thought, “Why did I insist on saving it for my mother? They are all sentient beings and all need to be saved. Am I not attached to emotion?” I said to Master in my mind, “Master, please arrange for them to come back, so I can give them the amulet.”

The man indeed returned. He said, “I forgot the words you told me. Can you write them down?” I almost wept. I told him that it was Master who had him come back so I could give him my last Dafa amulet. He was excited and kept thanking me, saying it was indeed a predestined relationship. I told him not to thank me, but to thank my Master instead. He did, and put the pamphlet and amulet into his pocket.

Seven people came to the studio one morning within a short space of time. During our conversation I said, “Life is hard these days. The economy is bad. We need to support children’s schooling and help them buy cars or houses after graduation, while the corrupted officials steal our money.” They agreed.

I told them the CCP has done too many evil deeds and heaven will destroy it, and asked them if they had heard of quitting the CCP and its affiliates. They hadn’t, but after I told them they quit using their real names.

I asked them to remember the auspicious phrases and to tell their friends and relatives how good Falun Dafa is. At the time my whole body felt wonderful. My mind was completely empty, and I only knew that I was here to help Master save people.

A young man in a luxury car came to have his photo taken. He wore a heavy gold chain and a large gold ring. I wanted to tell him about Dafa, but hesitated due to my attachment to fear. What if he reported me? Then I thought, “This thought is not good. Am I asking to be persecuted? I do not accept this thought that the old forces put on me. Master arranged for him to come here to be saved. I should not miss the opportunity, and should not care about his appearance.”

I asked, “How’s business?” as though we knew each other. He said business was not easy, and it was hard to make money. I said, “The CCP ruined the economy. The COVID pandemic killed many people. You cannot go out without having been vaccinated. No one knows how many people died. Many who took the shot have side effects.”

He said the CCP did rotten things to harm people. “Exactly!” I responded. “Hundreds of years ago it was prophesied that Heaven would destroy it. Have you heard about quitting the CCP to keep safe?” He hadn’t. When I found out that he joined the Youth League and Young Pioneers, I suggested he quit them. He did using his real name.

He listened carefully as I told him the facts about Falun Dafa. He was grateful and said he would tell his friends and relatives. I looked inward, and realized my attachment to fear was gone.

There was a young man in my hometown who called me sister. I clarified the truth to him a few years ago, and helped him quit the Party. I gave him a few pamphlets about Dafa and a Dafa amulet.

One day he came to my studio. As soon as he entered, he said, “After you introduced Falun Dafa to me, I read the pamphlets and kept the amulet in my car. I find everything in my life has gone smoothly. I feel happy, and my business has prospered. I want to practice Falun Dafa. What do you think?”

I thought it was wonderful, and gave him a copy of Zhuan Falun, and a copy of Master’s exercise video. I told him to wash his hands before he handled the book, and that it would be best if he could read all of it.

He came to the market in our area to sell goods a while later. When I asked if he read the book he said, “Yes. It’s wonderful. It teaches people to be kind and not fight or compete. I felt really good after I read it. I can’t put it down.”

A 60 year-old woman came one day. She looked sad and said her husband berated her every day. She was miserable and she didn’t want to live. I told her I practiced Falun Dafa and clarified the truth to her. I told her about Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and how to be a good person, and about quitting the CCP to stay safe. She listened carefully. She used her real name to quit the Young Pioneers.

She said, “After hearing what you said, my mind is clear now. I’m no longer mad at my husband. I want to learn from you.” She no longer wanted to commit suicide. I am happy for her.

To tell people about Falun Dafa in the studio has been a major part of my life. Although I persisted in telling people about Dafa and urging them to quit the CCP, I am far from meeting Master’s requirements. Master arranged for predestined people to come to the store, but I haven’t been able to convince all of them. I need to study the Fa more and better, and do the three things that Master asks us to do well.
