(Minghui.org) Minghui.org has reported extensively on the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners who are sent to the Jilin Province Women’s Prison. This report covers a few additional abuse tactics used against practitioners.
Steadfast practitioners were given very little or no food when they refused to “admit their guilt” or slander Falun Gong and its founder. The inmates assigned to watch them around the clock would only gave them some food when they noticed the practitioners had become too weak. As soon as the practitioners appeared stronger, the inmates would dump their food into the trash.
Even when the inmates allowed the practitioners to eat, they often made then eat after the food was cold.
During winter time, the inmates often stripped the practitioners to just their undergarments. They were forced to sit barefoot by open windows, while the monitors each had two layers of winter coats and bottles filled with hot water.
At night, the practitioners could only pull the bedcover up to their stomach, with their chest, arms, and feet exposed. If they remained firm to their faith, they had to sleep on bare bedboards. The inmates even threatened to dump water on their bedsheets.
The inmates also poured cold water on the practitioners’ heads, claiming it was to wash their hair.
At times the inmates poured cold water on the floor and knocked down the practitioners into the pool of water. They held them tight while yelling to the surveillance camera, “Get up! Get up! The floor is so cold!” If the practitioners cried out for help, they would put them in a chokehold to stop them from making any noise.
If a practitioner held firm to her faith, the rest of the practitioners jailed in the same cell would be subjected to punishment, including being forced to sit or stand by open windows during the winter.
Under the directive of the guards, the inmates removed the beds in Cell Seven in Building One of the Eighth Division, turning it into the “Transformation Battle Room.” Many steadfast practitioners were sent there for further persecution.
The inmates did not allow the practitioners to use the restroom if they refused to say there were criminals or did not follow the orders.
Steadfast practitioners were also not allowed to brush their teeth or take showers.
