(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 52 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Practitioner Liu Hong was scheduled to stand trial at the Hunnan District Court on March 19, 2026.
Mr. Xing Jiaqiu and his wife Ms. Zhang Xiuying were arrested by officers from Lianshan Street Police Station on June 9, 2025, after the police suspected them of removing community bulletin posters smearing Falun Gong. They are scheduled to appear in the Lianshan District Court on April 15, 2026.
Ms. Xin Kui was reported to the police on November 22, 2025, when she was distributing Falun Gong materials in Shancheng Town, Meihekou City, Jilin Province. She was arrested by Shancheng Town Police Station officers and held in Meihekou City Detention Center.
After Ms. Xin was indicted, her family called the judge of the Meihekou City Court, requesting to represent her as a family defender. The judge didn’t respond. When the family followed up with the judge at a later time, they were shocked to be told that a hearing had already taken place on February 28, when she didn’t have any legal representation.
Mr. Zhu Chengqian, a security guard at a hotel, was arrested at work at around 2 a.m. on March 1, 2026. The police searched his home in the afternoon and confiscated two Falun Gong books, a laptop, and a cell phone. He refused to cooperate with the interrogation or answer any questions. He is currently on a hunger strike in the Jinzhou Detention Center to protest the persecution.
Mr. Wang Liming was arrested by Dagushan Town Police Station officers on March 5, 2026. His printer and copy paper were confiscated.
Mr. Li Huzhe was arrested in January 2026. His family has been kept in the dark about his situation.
Ms. Cui Fenghua, 66, of Korean ethnicity, has been missing since February 11, 2026.
Ms. Zhang Jinfeng’s home was ransacked by Guo Wenxiu, a Nanqi Village official, and three officers from the Tanghu Town Police Station on March 3, 2026.
Ms. Shao Zelan, in her 60s, was recently arrested and taken to the Dalian City Detention Center.
Ms. Tao Lahuai was harassed by several police officers and Chengxi Community management office staff members at home on the morning of March 4, 2026. They tore down the couplets on her front door and confiscated her media player and MP3 player, among other items.
Mr. Shi Guoxing and his wife, Ms. Song Zhenfang, were harassed by director Zhang of the Niuxibu Comprehensive Governance Office on March 13, 2026. They forced Ms. Song to sign a statement to renounce Falun Gong and warned them not to go out to talk to people about Falun Gong.
Ms. Lyu Guilan, 74, was sentenced to three years on March 5, 2025. She is serving time in the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison.
Mr. Yang Jinhan was released from a psychiatric hospital on January 3, 2026, after an involuntary stay of two years and eight months. After Minghui.org reported his persecution, the police harassed him and his family and threatened to arrest him again if he continued to publicize his persecution cases on overseas websites.
Mr. Guo Peng, Mr. Ye Changguo, Mr. Yuan Xiufeng, and Mr. Sun Zhanting were arrested on March 13, 2026, by officers from Tiexi District Domestic Security Division and Gongrencun Police Station. They have been held in the Tiexi District Detention Center ever since.
Mr. Guo was detained despite his dangerously high blood pressure. The detention center guards handcuffed him behind his back, verbally abused him, physically assaulted him, and deprived him of food for 20 hours.
Mr. Yu Chunsheng, 60, was arrested at home on March 17, 2026, by Jia Town Police Station officers. He is being held in the Liaocheng City Detention Center.
Several mentally healthy Falun Gong practitioners are being held in the psychiatric section of Baiquan Health Center, a small hospital in Hui County. Among them, Ms. Yang Qingqin, Ms. Zhou Xiangrong (in her 80s), and Mr. Li Jianhong, have been taken there multiple times. An elderly practitioner surnamed Jia has been held for many years. The hospital refuses to release her and has also detained her son, Xiaochao (nickname).
Twenty-six practitioners were arrested by Dong’e County Domestic Security Division officers on February 2, 2026. Two of them, Wu Bing and Zhang Yuhua, are still detained.
Ms. Yan Jingqiu was arrested on March 16, 2026.
Mr. Liu Xiaoyan has been missing since late January 2026.
