(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 24 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Wenjin Detained
6. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ten Practitioners Harassed
7. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Meixue Released from Prison
8. [Chongqing] Ms. Xu Mingjin Harassed
9. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Miao Jianguo Transferred from Panjin Prison to Jinzhou Prison

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners on Trial

Ms. Liu Shuzhen, Mr. Shi Zuosheng, Ms. Chen Xiumei, and Ms. Li Hongmei were arrested on August 21, 2025, and have been detained thereafter. They were indicted by the Acheng District Procuratorate and tried by the Acheng District Court on March 30, 2026.

2. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wei Liping and Ms. Liu Xinli Face Indictment

Ms. Wei Liping and Ms. Liu Xinli were arrested on March 8, 2026, and their cases were submitted to a local procuratorate.

3. [Laiyuan County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiaofen, 63, was arrested at home on March 24, 2026, by officers from the Laiyuan County Domestic Security Division and the Zoumayi Town Police Station. Two practitioners who happened to be visiting her were also arrested. The officers claimed someone was driving her car and distributing Falun Gong flyers. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and a Falun Gong exercises music player. The three practitioners were taken to the Laiyuan County Police Department.

Ms. Zhang’s two guests were released the next evening, but she was taken to the Baoding City Detention Center. The detention center initially denied her admission due to her health condition, but later accepted her after being pressured.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Haiyan Detained

Ms. Zhou Haiyan was arrested on February 28, 2026, by officers from the Dalian Development District Police Department and community clerks. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Yaojia Detention Center.

Ms. Zhou’s 81-year-old mother was terrified by her arrest. She suddenly went into shock on March 25 and was rushed to the hospital for resuscitation.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Wenjin Detained

Ms. Sun Wenjun, 68, was arrested by officers from the Xinlong Police Station on March 21, 2026, for distributing Falun Gong flyers. She is being held at the Changchun City Police Department Regulatory Center.

6. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ten Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Zou Shumin and Ms. Li Shuying, both in their 80s, were harassed at home around March 25, 2026, by officers from the Chengshan Town Police Station. The officers confiscated their Falun Gong books.

Zhang Honghua, Zhang Guihua, Yuan Xiaojing, Li Xiu, Qu Yinghua, Yao Shurong, Wang Fuqing, and Wang Fuli were also harassed around the same time.

7. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Meixue Released from Prison

Ms. Guo Meixue was released on February 27, 2026, after completing a two-year prison term.

8. [Chongqing] Ms. Xu Mingjin Harassed

Ms. Xu Mingjin, in her 70s, was harassed at home on February 28, 2026. Officers from the Chenjiaqiao Police Station and clerks from her local residential committee ransacked her home, and seized her Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, an mp3 audio player, memory cards, a cell phone, and other belongings. She was taken to the police station for interrogation and released hours later.

9. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Miao Jianguo Transferred from Panjin Prison to Jinzhou Prison

Mr. Miao Jianguo was sentenced to a five-year prison term on February 18, 2025, by the Linghai City Court. After the Jinzhou City Intermediate Court ruled to uphold his original verdict, he was taken to the Panjin Prison and later transferred to the Jinzhou Prison.
