Larry Brock, MP, spoke at the rally celebrating World Falun Dafa Day at Parliament Hill on May 5, 2026. (Minghui.org)

Larry Brock MP, Shadow Minister for Justice, was glad to see so many practitioners gathered openly at Parliament Hill, and said, “It causes me to look around and appreciate such a wonderful gathering of those who can practice this faith freely, without fear of persecution, without anyone impeding their ability to travel to the nation’s capital, without looking behind their backs, without scrambling for cover if you hear police sirens. These are values that are near and dear to all Canadians.

“And for the Chinese Canadians that have settled here and are practicing your faith, it is such a wonderful expression of unity when you can come to the center block here in the nation’s capital, and show your solidarity.

“So I look at the contrast between Canada and China. The Communist Party is a tyrannical regime that suppresses any ability to practice freely what you truly believe in, and the fact that you have to literally hide from simply expressing your faith openly is a disgusting tenet of a communist government.”

He added, “The rule of law, equality, and justice for all are meaningful to me. It’s near and dear to my heart, and it’s something that I will always, always speak out against. Any ability by any communist government, or any government around the world for that matter, to suppress your God-given right to practice your faith has to be condemned in the strongest of words.”
