(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Rongxin Faces Indictment

Mr. Li Rongxin, 71, was arrested at home on February 4, 2026, by officers from the Huanggu District Domestic Security Division and the Huanghe Police Station. He has since been held at the Huanggu District Detention Center. His case was submitted to the Dadong District Procuratorate on May 13.

2. [Tang County, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Huiyun Arrested

Ms. Chen Huiyun was arrested on May 13, 2026, by officers from the WangjingTown police Station.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Guixiang Arrested

Ms. Li Guixiang was arrested at home on May 13, 2026, by officers from the Nanguan District Domestic Security Division. Her whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Kangbao County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Peifang Detained

Ms. Yang Peifang, around 50, and a teacher, was arrested at home on May 11, 2026, by officers from Huoqiu County, Liu’an City, Anhui Province, after someone reported her for mailing letters regarding the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held in the Liu’an City Detention Center.

5. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Dai Limei Detained

Ms. Dai Limei was recently arrested at home. Her home was ransacked. She has been detained since.

6. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Yuanyong Arrested

Mr. Li Yuanyong was arrested on May 7, 2026.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Xu Xiufen Arrested

Ms. Xu Xiufen was arrested at home on May 10, 2026. The officers said that she was recorded by surveillance camera while distributing Falun Gong flyers.

8. [Tianjin] Li Yuxiang Tried

Li Yuxiang, gender unknown, was tried by the Wuqing District Court on May 12, 2026. He or she was put into the Wuqing Detention Center the next day. The court has not issued a verdict yet.

9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Wenying Detained

Ms. Sun Wenying was arrested on April 24, 2026, by officers from the Jiutai District Police Department. She was detained for 15 days and released on May 8.

10. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Yanchun Critically Ill in Prison

Mr. Li Yanchun has been held in the Jidong Fifth Prison for five years. He suffers from severe carotid artery thrombosis and critically high blood pressure. His life hangs in the balance. His family applied for release on medical parole for him. But the prison denied the request.

11. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Ms. Zheng Bihong Repeatedly Harassed

Ms. Zheng Bihong, in her late 40s, was arrested in 2023 by the Xiuzhou District Police Department officers for distributing Falun Gong flyers. She was detained between October 22 and November 4, 2023. The police repeatedly harassed her after her release, even when she worked out of town.

12. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jiang Nan Imprisoned

Mr. Jiang Nan, 45, and his mother, Ms. Lu Suping, 69, were arrested on June 2, 2025, by officers from the Linghai City Police Department. They were put into the Linghai City Detention Center and the Jinzhou City Women’s Detention Center, respectively. They were tried in the Linghai Court on December 22. Both were sentenced to six years in prison and fined 15,000 yuan.

Mr. Jiang was recently transferred to the Jinzhou City Prison. Ms. Lu is still being held at the Jinzhou City Detention Center. She is in poor health and can barely walk. The detention center guards ordered her family to pay for her medical examination. They refused, insisting that she be released on medical parole instead.
