(Minghui.org) At least 35 residents in Huinong District, Shizuishan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, are confirmed to have been targeted since July 1999, because they practice Falun Gong. Below is a brief overview of the concerned practitioners.

Mr. Sun Lei, around 54 and a former bank employee, was given three years of forced labor in 2001 and sentenced to 11 years in August 2006. After another arrest on December 11, 2015, he was sentenced to three years. He was released on December 11, 2018, only to face continued harassment from the police. He was arrested in August 2023 and sentenced to seven years. He is serving time at the Shizuishan Prison.

Ms. Wang Yuelan, in her 80s, was detained for 15 days in each of 2005, 2006, and 2007. The police arrested her again in 2009, 2018, 2019, and August 2023. Following her last arrest, she was either given a three-year probation or allowed to serve her three-year sentence at home.

Ms. Yu Dezhen, around 66, was detained for 44 days in 2002. Her home was also raided three times that year. She was detained for 15 days both in 2006 and 2020. After another arrest on April 30, 2020, she was sentenced to four years with a 30,000-yuan fine.

Ms. Liu Cuimei, 59, was given three years of forced labor in 2001 and held at a brainwashing center in 2003. She was detained again in 2015, 2016, and 2019. After another arrest on April 30, 2020, she was sentenced to three years with a 10,000-yuan fine.

Ms. Shi Meilan had her home raided in 2007 and she was held in a brainwashing center for 23 days in 2008. The police raided her home again, once in 2018 and twice in 2020. After another arrest on April 30, 2020, she was sentenced to three years and two months and fined 10,000 yuan.

Ms. Chen Xiuping, around 77, had her home raided repeatedly (three times in 2015, once in 2018, and another time in 2020). She was also detained in 2015, 2019, and 2020. After another arrest on April 30, 2020, she was sentenced to three and a half years and fined 25,000 yuan.

Ms. Mo Huiping, 50, was given three years of forced labor after she was arrested in March 2001. Her next arrest was in June 2004, with her sentenced to three and a half years. After another arrest on February 16, 2013, she was sentenced to four years. She was arrested again on September 13, 2023, and detained for 15 days.

Ms. Cheng Jianghong was sentenced to four years in 2012 and detained for 15 days in 2016.

Ms. Shi Chunrong was sentenced to three years in 2011 and another ten months in 2019.

Ms. Wang Li was detained for 37 days in 2009 after her home was raided. While living in Beijing in 2012, she was arrested and given two years of forced labor. She was briefly detained in 2016.

Ms. Hu Xia was given three years of forced labor in 2003, held in a brainwashing center in 2011, and she was detained at an unknown location in 2018.

Ms. Zhao Xirong was given three years of forced labor in 2002.

Ms. Gao Xueling was twice detained in 2009 (one month at a detention center and two and a half months at a brainwashing center), held for five days in 2018, and detained for one day in 2019. Her home was raided in 2020 and she was placed in custody for hours.

Ms. Dong Yuqin was detained once in 2001 and twice in 2018.

Ms. Qi Jurong was briefly detained in 2018 after her home was raided. While living in Beijing in 2020, her rental place was raided and she was briefly detained.

Ms. Zhao Jinfeng was detained in 2016.

Ms. Wang Ruixia was detained for 15 days in 2015 and for an unknown amount of time in 2016.

Mr. Zhai Yiping’s home was raided in 2011. He was briefly detained afterwards.

Mr. Wang Ruilou’s home was raided in 2009.

Ms. Hu Ruilan was held in a brainwashing center in 2003 and 2008.

Mr. Wang Ziquan’s home was raided in 2007 and he was briefly detained.

Mr. Li Fengqing’s home was raided in 2007.

Ms. Zhang Libing was detained in 2006.

Ms. Chen Xia was held in a brainwashing center in 2006.

Ms. Li Jing was held in a brainwashing center in 2003 and was detained in 2006.

Ms. Gao Guiqin was detained for 15 days in 2005. While boarding a train in Tianjin to return to Ningxia, she was searched and fined 2,000 yuan after the police found three cards bearing Falun Gong messages on her.

Ms. Zhan Minghua was held in a brainwashing center in 2003.

Mr. Wang Guichun’s home was raided. He has passed away (date unknown).

Mr. Gai Shuquan was harassed multiple times.

Mr. Hu Bing’s home was raided in 2000. The police paraded him in the street afterwards and detained him for an unknown amount of time.

Mr. Xu Jinda was twice detained, in 1999 and 2003. The second time he was held at a brainwashing center.

Mr. Guo Qingliang was detained in 1999.

Ms. Zhang Yuzhi’s home was raided in 1999.

Mr. Jin Xiaolei was detained in 1999. He died on January 5, 2004. His wife, Ms. Ye, was detained twice, in 2002 and 2003.
