(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 5 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Dong, in her 60s, was reported to police when she was talking to people about Falun Gong near a hospital on May 26, 2026. While she managed to escape from being arrested on the spot, she was seized by the police near the Huoshen Temple on May 28 and taken to the Shidonggou Police Station.
The police ransacked her home, and confiscated her Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder. She was given a 7-day detention, but the detention center denied her admission due to high blood pressure and an abnormal heart condition. Although the police released her later that day, they arrested her again on May 31 and took her to the Shuangfengsi Detention Center.
Ms. Wang Fenghua was arrested by officers from the Tiexi District Domestic Security Division on May 19, 2026. The police claimed she had been recorded by surveillance cameras while distributing something, which she firmly denied. Ms. Wang was taken to the Shenyang City First Detention Center the next day.
Ms. Wang’s lawyer visited her on June 1, 2026, and learned that she had persistently high blood pressure and blood sugar. She was forced to take unknown medicines daily, but her systolic pressure remained above 200 mmHg.
Two officers from the Tiexi District Police Department ransacked Ms. Wang’s home again on June 1, 2026, without finding any Falun Gong-related materials.
Ms. Guo Yurong was harassed at home on June 2, 2026. The police photographed her without her permission.
Ms. Gong Pirong was sentenced to four and a half years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan by the Yinan County Court in 2022. She was released on May 25, 2026.
Ms. Cheng Zhongxiu was arrested by Nanhu Police Station officers on May 28, 2026. She was released the next day after failing the medical exam due to high blood pressure.
