(Minghui.org) Practitioners recently held several Falun Dafa information day events in Brasov to introduce the practice to the public. Many people said they were glad to hear about the practice’s physical and mental benefits. When they heard about the ongoing persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), people signed petitions urging an end to the brutalities.

Located in central Romania, Brasov is the sixth most populous city in the country. Practitioners held events on May 30 and 31, as well as June 13, in the Old Town.

Universal Values

Mihaela Gabriela Pană, a mother of two, always pays attention to her children’s education. When she saw the Falun Dafa information day event on June 13, she thanked practitioners for their efforts and praised Falun Dafa’s moral values.

Pană said Falun Dafa would help build a society in which people helped and learned from each other. “I believe that Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are universal values. They can help build our character and improve relationships between people,” she said.

She felt practicing Falun Dafa would promote respect, responsibility, and mutual understanding in our daily lives. “I believe that a person who follows the practice will become sincere, more compassionate, more tolerant, and more attentive to the needs of those around them. In addition, he or she would also be able to manage conflicts better, have more patience, and try to act with more respect and understanding towards others,” she added.

“I am glad to meet Falun Dafa practitioners because they are warm, respectful, and committed people,” Pană continued.

She also wanted to encourage practitioners from all countries, including those who are persecuted for their faith in China. “Please do not lose hope and continue promoting these values of patience and kindness,” Pană added. “Everything you do and everyone who hears these facts will make a difference. I wish you strength, faith, and perseverance to overcome all trials. Please stay true to the values you believe in!”

A Harmonious Life

Mariana Nimară, a teacher from Târgu Jiu in southwestern Romania, previously read about Falun Dafa on the internet. She visited the Falun Dafa booth on May 31 and chatted with practitioners about the practice.

“I found this is a way of life that first brings you closer to yourself, then to others,” she said. “These teachings help reconnect us with ancient traditions, provide us with the meaning of life, and to promote mutual support. They teach us to be kind, patient, and honest with others.”

Nimară considered the values of Falun Dafa “pillars of harmonious coexistence for everyone.” “If more people follow the practice, the world would be peaceful and more tranquil. In fact, such a person will get along well with his or her family, colleagues, and community,” she said.

She said this is why the persecution of Falun Dafa by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is inhumane. “It is important for the world to know what is happening in modern society and to oppose the persecution,” Nimară explained. “Abuse is a serious violation of human rights. It is unacceptable, and forced organ harvesting is an absolute violation of dignity and life. A government like this violates its fundamental duty to protect its citizens.”

Before leaving, Nimară also urged practitioners around the world to raise more awareness of this issue through the media. “Solidarity, courage, and hope are important. People must maintain their freedom of conscience,” she said.

IT Specialist Opposes the Persecution

Bolboacă Mara, an IT professional from Brașov, has always been interested in Asian cultures and said, “It doesn’t matter what religion a person has. What matters is that we are all human and we should help each other.”

She believes Falun Dafa will help the world. For example, being truthful is very important. “It allows us to distinguish truth from lies. Whether it is personal life or politics, if we follow truthfulness and compassion, we will be able to do better,” Mara added.

She praised practitioners’ efforts to expose the persecution and said that as more people come to know the nature of the CCP, the persecution would come to an end. “Please keep their hope and faith. And better days will come,” she encouraged practitioners in China.

After visiting the Falun Dafa booth, through a QR code, Bolboacă read an article written by Falun Dafa’s founder, “How Humankind Came To Be,” and she was interested in learning more about the practice. A practitioner gave her a copy of Falun Gong.

Financial Analyst: Teachings That Help Our Society

Andrei Alexandru Munteanu, a financial analyst from Suceava in northeastern Romania, said he likes the peaceful atmosphere and music at the Falun Dafa booth and asked about the petition drive.

He talked with practitioners and said he was happy to hear Falun Dafa’s teachings are based on Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance: “If these were ingrained in our lives, then society would be much better,” he said.

He signed the petition and praised the activities held by Falun Dafa practitioners around the world. “Thank you for your efforts, and you have all my support,” he said. “I hope everything goes very well.”
