(Minghui.org) My spouse and I live in a fairly rural area in northern China. In 2004, practitioners in our locality received Master’s article, which stated,
“… each must come out and clarify the truth, bringing it to every field and valley, mountain and hill, not omitting a single area where there are people.” (“Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World’s People,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress III)
After we studied the article repeatedly, practitioners all became determined to save people according to Master’s requirements.
After coordinating with fellow practitioners, my spouse and I were responsible for delivering Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) informational materials to over 20 villages. Since they were at least 10 miles away, we could not cover all the villages in a short period of time. So we divided them into sections. At first, we went by bike or sometimes tractor to deliver the materials during the day.
Later, to avoid harassment from the police and financial problems caused by the persecution, we left our home in 2012, and worked at a factory in the city.
The factory was 20 miles away from our home. Going back to that area was not easy, but we needed to keep our delivery promise. We discussed possible solutions, and decided to buy a new motorcycle for over 3,000 yuan.
We worked in the city during the day, and then set off to our rural home after work. Due to the travel time, it was always after midnight when we got back home. The long distance and darkness were not a big problem, but the winter conditions were challenging, especially in the bitter cold of winter when we wore double or even triple layers of heavy clothes. When distributing the information, we could not wear gloves because it was too hard to pull out the materials. At first, our hands felt stiff and painful from the cold, but soon they warmed up. We knew Master was protecting us.
We bought an electric car in 2014. Since then, we have used that to distribute the materials, so we are less exposed to the cold in winter.
In June 2018, we quit our jobs and returned home, ending eight years of exile. After we settled down, we started a small business. Because we kept a clean environment in our shop, and maintained an honest and trustworthy manner, we earned our customers’ trust. Most importantly, it was very convenient to distribute truth clarification materials this way.
In the past 20-plus years, we have not missed any of the villages we promised to cover, since we knew those people were waiting for Dafa’s blessings. During the process, we faced many hardships and difficulties, and risked being reported to the police. However, we were relatively calm since we had Dafa in our hearts. Under Master’s protection, we were able to return home safely each time. Our hearts were full of joy as we fulfilled our vows to save sentient beings. We know this is also our journey to return to our heavenly home.
Many people have received our materials, and learned the truth about Dafa and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. But how could they quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations? Fellow practitioners believed we needed to come out to help people quit. We both had this wish, and began talking to people, starting around the turn of spring and summer last year.
Usually, we were busy at the shop in the morning. We spent the afternoon talking to people, and helping them quit the Party. In the process, we always paid attention to sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate any interference, and asked for Master’s help.
The people we met were farmers working in the fields, resting under trees, sitting outside, or walking on the street. We took every opportunity to talk to people, and help them quit the Party. Over 90% of people chose to quit, and almost all of them decided to use their real names.
Many people expressed their happiness after quitting the CCP. Some wanted to offer us a drink, some wanted to invite us to visit their homes. Once, we gave a Dafa amulet to a boy with a disability. He pressed his palms together and bowed to us, which touched us so deeply that we wanted to cry. Master said, “… who would save all of those people in this world who came here for Dafa?” (“Fa Teaching on World Falun Dafa Day,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XII) That boy had been waiting so long for this day.
We also discovered many of our shortcomings in the process. For example, a strong attachment of preference, and different attitudes toward different people. We realized that behind this attachment was fear. When we saw a person who looked like a retired official, we did not want to approach him. We also avoided any fierce-looking or unfriendly people. If we met an elderly woman, we tended to skip her because we thought she might be illiterate and unable to read the information, and we assumed young people would not want to listen to us.
We later realized that we could help save more people if we simply cultivated ourselves well. These perceptions were exactly the areas we need to improve. In the future, we will work hard to address this, become more mature in cultivation, and help Master save more people.
